New to the Infiniti forum

Greetings Myg37 forum members. I'm an automotive enthusiast at heart but totally new to the Infiniti / import game. I own a couple of GM trucks, a 95 Impala SS, and two other rides that are part of the GM family. All of them have extensive mods. I'm sure this latest acquisition will get it's share of cool mods as well. I look forward to learning and sharing as we go.

Long story short I recently picked up a 2008 G37 with less than 32K miles on it. The ride is getting the music and alarm upgrades at a shop in SoCal and will soon be headed to the PNW. It'll be there for a few short months then off to Central Fl.

Here's a pic before it was off to the music shop.

Thanks for the welcomes. Like other vehicle forums that I am a member of, this promises to be an excellent source of knowledge and ideas. For starters the music should be done by the end of the month or so. Upgraded all of the mids and highs to Focal, ported woofer box, custom trunk, digital amps etc...

I'll keep us updated as we go. Thanks again.

Welcome to the site Pearl, nice intro!
Are you sure it's a 08 G37, the G37 in sedan form came out in 09, the 07 & 08 Sedans were G35s. Might check the VIN# to be sure, probably have an 09.
Whatever it is, it looks like you found a nice clean one!

Thanks for the edification. I double checked and you were correct. It's an 2008, thus a G35. Clearly, I have a long way to go in this forum and with these vehicles before I can know this platform as well as I know my trucks or my SS.

Thanks one and all for the welcomes and patience.

No problem
I had an 07 G35 Sedan prior to our 09 37, not much of a difference really, and your 5 speed AT is a bit more decisive then the 37s 7AT, sometimes I miss that 5AT, although the 7 speed does get a couple more mpgs. Pretty much any aftermarket parts for the G37 Sedan will work on your G35 so you're good there too!

Enjoy your new G, and look forward to what's in store

Right on. Excellent information. I am learning already. Fellow members on this forum are quite friendly and helpful. I'm already looking and contacting folks for upgrades to add while I am here in SoCal.

I head back to work in the north Seattle are in about a week or so. Thanks again.
