New car before sign question
New car before sign question
I got a really great deal on a q50s (I know I know =(, )
but somehow I think the dealer is hiding something...
on the car it say it's certified pre-owned, and has warranty, that the dealership will cover 100% of labor and 100% on parts, but when I got inside to get everything they gave me the warranty sheet and now it's marked where AS IS box is... are they trying to screw me?

Welcome to the site BTW.
thank you so much =)
this car has 20k miles infiniti q50s hybrid 2015, but I believe is the base sport because doesn't have navigation, and parking sensors, but for 30k drive out including my 5k underwater I was on my 2010 g37s I think it's a good deal
what do you guys think?
P. s I can live without the navigation, hardly ever used it on my g37, since I always use Google maps.

The Buyer's Guide, which is the form to which you are referring, is standard boilerplate stuff in most states. For many used car dealers, they'll put a 30-day, 1000 mile warranty on the car, for example. The dealership bears any cost of repair and that will be spelled out in the "Warranty" section.
In your case, the manufacturers warranty still applies and the *dealership* doesn't pay for any repairs as they're reimbursed by Infiniti. That's the reason they're checking, "As Is". To them, it's being sold as-is, though the manufacturers warranty still applies. They're checking that box to ensure that they, specifically, aren't responsible for the cost of repairs, the manufacturer is...
According to the FTC though... this is what they *should* be doing:
What if the Manufacturers Warranty Still Applies?
If the manufacturer's warranty hasn't expired, you may disclose this fact by checking the "Warranty" box and including this disclosure in the "systems covered/duration" section: "MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY STILL APPLIES. The manufacturer's original warranty has not expired on the vehicle. Consult the manufacturer's warranty booklet for details as to warranty coverage, service location, etc." The disclosure must be stated in the exact language quoted above. Using phrases such as "balance of factory warranty" are not sufficient.
