After 10+ Years of Dreaming, Finally Here!
Hey all,
I have been a long time lurker of the G35/G37 Forums-since the car came out in 2003-2004-and have wanted one since.
Finally had the chance to purchase my own in December 2015, just got around to posting!
Its a mint 2008 G37s 6mt, bought it 1 owner, clean Carfax/Autocheck with 41900 miles! Since February after the snow, put almost 1700 and have enjoyed every mile!
Future plans:
Lower (not sure which springs to get, don't have money for coilovers)
Gloss black wrap the roof, grille combs, and the side mirrors
OEM spoiler
Any other suggestions? Looking forward to the next few years!

Congratulations on the beautiful purchase and becoming an official G owner! She looks great! There's alot of knowledge to learn here!
As for springs I'd consider Eibach lowering springs but I may be biased since those are what I have and the drop looks great!

Congrats dude! I'd probably slip in all-season floor mats or weathertechs so your carpet doesn't get too nasty in the spring. And definitely start prepping for the warmer months with a set of summer tires.
Congrats and welcome! I've been a long-time Infiniti owner (dating back to the original G20) but was also "struck" by the original G35. When the time was right, I was stoked to pick up my G37.
Sorry, just saw your plans. Sounds like you're well on your way. There was a great budget thread that has some cool things/ideas on it. Take a look.

Congrats man! I LOVE finding cars that are a bit older while averaging very few miles per year. it's a great value. and yours looks perfect. I've only been a G owner for a couple months and smile everytime I know I have to go somewhere.

Thank you everyone! I was expecting to end up with something with 70k+ miles but somehow got lucky and was able to get a stellar deal on this one!
I am about to actually hit 2000 miles, the oil was changed prior to me receiving the car, how long should I go? Get it done at 3000-3500? I was also thinking of running its first change at the dealer
Im also noticing that when at idle, sometimes the rpms dip below 700-800 and then rise up, is this a common issue? May be throttle body?
Also while looking through these intros, what exactly is this timing chain issue and what should I look out for?
Thank y'all so much for your help and guidance!

Missed this the first time around. Welcome to the site, glad you found us and sounds like you're already off to a flying start!
