What's the better buy? 2012 G37S - 2013 G37x

Planning on getting my first G this month, originally I was going to get the Q50, but it seems like people still recommend the G37 over it. Not to mention it is at least $10-15k cheaper.

2012 Infiniti G37 Sport - $25,273 w/ 30,726 miles
Black exterior, beige interior

2013 Infiniti G37 xAWD - $25,201 w/ 17,931 miles
Black exterior, black interior

I would appreciate all the help I can get!

If you don't absolutely need AWD and the condition of both vehicles is similar I'd go w/ the RWD S, you get more performance upgrades and if you want to add mods down the road there's more options w/ the RWD.
HTHs and welcome to the site!

Yea I don't need the AWD because there's never snow where I'm from!

So even with 31k miles compared to 18k, it's fine right? Only thing that's really putting me off is the beige interior and would prefer black. But if it's the better deal I can live with it

I'm def interested in putting mods into the car as time goes on

Yeah, the difference in miles isn't much , especially since it's a year older. Only caveat is there's less warranty.
The S gives you a lot more performance features, and since you are interested in mods there's more out there for the RWD. The upgraded brakes alone go for about $1500 along w/ the limited slip differential that doesn't come cheap.

Alright so I went out to look at it since the place was closed so I didn't have to deal with a salesperson, it didn't have the S on the back. Is it just an appearance package then? It has the sport trim
Also I'm not sure how I like the Malbec black because of the purplish tint, it was night so I don't know how it looks in the day besides shining my flashlight on it bringing to a purplish hue.

Another thing, I saw a Q50 right next to it. It was silver, no navi, but $29k. I really like the look of the Q50 better.

Man this is so hard.

Well that changes everything, if it's not an S model then you need to reevaluate the whole scenario. As far as the Q50, not to my liking but be sure to give the G and the Q same day test drives and see how they compare for you.
G/L with your search and post up any more discoveries as they arise.

I'm thinking of just getting the G37, Q50 was reported stolen on car fax and was transferred from TN > FL > back to TN> and now in LA + it doesn't have navi so it's just going to tick me off just seeing the digital clock haha.

Is the sport appearance package alone worth the cost?

Also, how much do you think I can chew them down? It's $25,273
Do you have any tips when buying the car? I'm seriously thinking of picking it up tomorrow, because I previously looked at one before however it didn't have navi and it was sold the next day. This was actually why I made an account last month! :_

Check this thread for good buying tips

Not sure of a Sport appearance package unless you're referring to the AWD X"S" sedan, the sport package on that model is more of an appearance setup. The RWD w/ sport pkg is the one I was referring to, and that is definitely a good setup. If the RWD model you're looking at doesn't have these brake calipers then it's not a sport

I got a Q50 loaner when my G37S is in for the transmission update. I like the exterior and interior of the Q50 better. It felt more luxury in there with all the softer leather. The ride is actually a lot softer not only compared to my G37S but also to those regular G37 I test drove before I bought mine. The main difference I felt is the G37 felt a lot more aggressive even though they both have the same engine. The Q50 felt a lot smoother. So, it's just which characteristic you prefer. I bought the G37 because of the power and sportiness, so to me I prefer the G37.
