New Owner 2012 G37X - What dealer has the lowest priced extended warranties??
New Owner 2012 G37X - What dealer has the lowest priced extended warranties??
Hi Everyone,
I'm coming from the 'dark side', traded my 335 in for a G37X...over the weekend. Funny thing is I got one for my fiance a year ago, always being a fan of the car, i got more accustomed to driving it and eventually said lets go! Love the platform, the car now that I have it and I couldn't be happier. I had a ton of problems with my BMW to say the least, from none other than a few potholes on the runflats, and boom tires, headlights, wheels, suspension, etc.
I have vowed not to drive a German car for the forseeable future, given all the issues I was sick of coming across. So I plan on keeping this car for quite some time.
I do like to go fast and drag my car, as I own the BMW N55-e90 AWD record at 12.2@111, and I have a 1200hp Supra I'm in the process of selling. Getting married, have a house now, have to dump all my toys and grow up.
I'm not one to shy away from modifications, as I did a serious investigation about a year ago into the G37X, into the feasability of daily driving and building the car...trans-Level 10, building the block, lowering the compression ratio, (not using GTM parts lol), a twin turbo kit, but I finally realized this isn't dependable for a daily driver. It seemed GTM had a stranglehold on the upper-end tuner parts for this car, and I didn't trust them after reading the forums. On paper, their products look fantastic, but they couldn't stand behind them.
At this point, I will be more than satisfied with a full bolt-ons, perhaps a locally tuned UP-Rev (suggestions please), Stillen or K&N CAI, HFCs, Y-Pipe, Cat-back Exhaust. Some of the gains I have seen with the UP-Rev tuning is pretty significant, looking forward to dragging the car this summer!
Any suggestions on where to start? Thinking the CAI will be my first priority, Want to open up the engine and hear it ROAR! Let this beast come to life.
I am also looking to lock in an extended warranty, let me know who has the best pricing around. Is there a 30-day window from the time I bought my car? My factory warranty is good until Nov 2015. I was unable to negotiate to a point of my liking at the dealer, and would still be interested in one.
Any problem areas i should look at before my warranty runs out?
Thanks,
Brett

Congrats on the Upgrade
and welcome to the forum. I suggest calling/emailing numerous dealers and getting quotes from the top dealers. Impressive results on your previous vehicles and look forward to seeing what you will be doing in the next few months. There is plenty of information on the site in regards to mods and a really helpful bunch of guys to help with anything.

There should be a few places where people will recommend you go for quotes. Type in Elite warranty in the search box and you will have a vast amount of links to decide if you want to get it or not. Infiniti G's are reliable and i opted out of getting one and glad i did. But every car is different and all depends on your usage and driving style and if you know your way around the car. Here is a link that i think will help with some questions you might have:

Hear you on the BMW woes, love those cars but its not worth the headache out of the planned maintenance. Your car has bumper to bumper till 2015 and 6 year 70k on power train coverage..I wouldn't jump through hoops to get one asap you're covered for a bit longer.
So that being said, I'm sticking to the Infiniti Warranty. NOT the warrantydirect one, sorry.
Anyone know a dealer I should call? I'm going to begin my search tomorrow.

Which warranties do you have? Let me know I'm looking into purchasing one soon. Will it kick in after my factory one ends?
Thanks for the warm welcomes so far!!

Infiniti of Nashua Dealer | Manchester Nashua New Used Car New Hampshire (Nashua Infiniti)
That could have changed by now, but they should be a good start.
Of course, once you get your quote from them, you can then try leveraging it against your local dealership. Often, they will price match once they know you know your sh**. Another thing to consider is that there are certain pricing thresholds based on your mileage, so you can optimize the value of your warranty by waiting to purchase until it right before it trips into the next pricing tier.
Good luck.
These used to be the big three for Elite warranty sales:
