From a Maxima to a G37X
From a Maxima to a G37X
I bought a 2012 Maxima SV back in 2012 used with like 7k miles on it. Traded that thing in yesterday for a 2011 G37X. I normally join the most active forum for each car I own since my 2007 Hyundai Sonata, so here I am.
So far, there's only a few things I miss from the Maxima not found on the G37...but I'm sure the AWD and extra power will more than make up for it
To be honest, I should have never bought the Maxima. I blame myself for not doing my homework. I had no idea that Infiniti had AWD. Ever since my 1995 Eclipse GSX, I've missed AWD... I learned about AWD in the G37 about a month after buying the Maxima and I've been itching to trade the Maxima since the first year of ownership towards the G37X but never pulled the trigger.
$2000 worth of tires and preventive maintenance coming due was the motivation I needed to finally make it happen.

Welcome to the forum. There's a number of current and former Maxima owners here including myself. My beater is a 4th Gen (the last good Maxima IMO) that is sitting in front of my house collecting dust since I haven't driven it in about a year. I really need to get rid of it.
Even if the Maxima was offered in AWD it would not be the same as the G37 with AWD.
AWD added to a front wheel drive platform is not the same thing as AWD added to a rear wheel drive platform.
Not sure theres a discernable difference under normal driving conditions from the RWD to the AWD G's. The AWD doesn't activate until the rear wheels expereince slippage.

I'm also in Charlotte, I have yet to complete my profile on here, but that reminds me to get 'er done.
