I picked up a 2010 G37S 6MT sedan about a month ago. Really having fun with this car plus the savings on my insurance from having an extra car is nice.
I own a performance shop in the LA area, and my other cars right now are my supercharged 2014 Silverado Z71 LTZ, 2002 Acura RSX time attack car (retired), wife's K20 swapped supercharged 2005 Honda Civic sedan, and her new 2015 Tahoe LTZ. Oh, and 3 or 4 go karts. I have a 2 year old son and a daughter due in January. I like racing, hunting, camping and playing with my son.
I already have some mods ordered and/or awaiting my installation. For engine/power mods, I'm going to install an Invidia Q300 exhaust (good buddies over there), and AFE's drop in air filters (again, good buddies over there; intake looks pretty smooth and free flowing with lots of headroom). I'll have Howard at Technosquare tune the car and that'll be it. For suspension, I have a set of Whiteline sway bars in, but waiting for installation. I also have a set of custom valved BC ER coilovers coming direct from the factory in Taiwan. This was more of a bet between a good customer and me since I suggested he try it first over a set of Bilstein Clubsports for his turbo E46 M3 project we're working on. I have some SPL Parts arms and Hyperco springs all around ready to go as soon as the cloilover arrive. The factory Akebono brakes are pretty good. I'm ordering up a set of DBA 5000 series rotors for the front and a set of Stoptech pads all around.
For wheels, it will be Volk TE37's just like every other car I have in my stable. It will be matched up with some Falken FK458's.
Audio I'm planning on running Audison's new Prima bit amps and speakers with a Seas tweeter and a old school JL IB12 free air sub.
Basically a good all around daily driver.

Great intro
Sounds like you're way ahead of the curve, look forward to seeing your G come together, nice plans you have.
Might start a build thread in this folder

In the 10K or so miles since installing the Q300, it's gotten noticeably louder. Was a bit on the mild side initially. Almost too quiet. It's nowhere near obnoxious, but just more noticeable than before. I think you'll be happy with it.
