Hello y'all,
I test drove a g37x a few weeks ago and that was it for me. I purchased a used 2011 with an even 20k on the odometer. I take delivery Friday. I'm not down with all the lingo yet but is Premium w/Nav. It is Graphite Shadow with Graphite/Black Interior.
What a car, no picture yet but will have some soon. Need to get some tint first I think.
See y'all around

I got some totally newb questions.
Having own older (I'm older) American Muscle cars HP ratings are often either exaggerated or understated.
How is it with the g37? 328 is very nice but seems rather precise?
Looking at the dual air filters in it leaves me thinking it should breath pretty good but is that a true statement or is it looking for more air in returning more HP for the effort?
What do y'all do with the exhaust if anything.
I figure with 328/330 out of a stock 3.7 the engine is pretty stoked, but there's always room for improvement. I can't get crazy with expense but I do wanna play.. a little.
A little history on me, my very first car in 1975 was a 69 Mustang BOSS 429, owned and sold by 1980, yeah, I know.. I know
69 Camaro RS, nothing special but again, I wish I had it now.
After that real life stuff like nothing fancy except an appreciation for Jeeps.
Still own my 1993 Jeep Cherokee and an 07 Grand Cherokee.
Had a Dodge 1500 OFFROAD and just traded out my mildly modified 01 Grand Prix GT.
This is my first g37, I'll try not to hurt myself.. or the car

Welcome to the site Finzel, congrats on your new G, sounds like you're having fun
The VQ motors in the Infiniti Gs are pretty hot out of the box, there's improvements in intake & exhaust flow but not significant HP gains, you can do a little on the front and the back to gain a few poinies but serious coin is needed if you want output in the 400+HP range. Improving the look & the sound of the G can be done for a modest budget though.

Welcome!
From what I understand, what the above poster said about HP gains is fact. If you want to really increase HP you need a supercharger or twin turbo kit...which fast intentions will be coming out with so n
