Newb w/ a couple Qs

Hey... I just bought a new to me 2010 G37x. I've had it for 4 days and I'm really happy with it. I'm coming from a 1999 Saab 9-3, so this is night and day. I have a couple questions that I can't find answers for in the manual, so hopefully someone here can help.

1. I paired my phone to the car so I can make/receive calls. But it's also alerting me whenever I get a text. Is there anyway to turn the text alert off? It's kinda annoying if you get a lot of texts (but I don't want to lose the ability to make/receive calls).

2. I do not have the Nav system, so therefore no Bluetooth audio capabilities. Is there anyway to stream music through my phone? I was surprised to see that there is no 3.5mm jack to connect a phone to the audio system.

3. I do not have an XM subscription. Is there any way to avoid going through 3 pages of XM when I hit the "source" button on the steering wheel?

Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forum!

Do not renew XM! They will contact you and offer it to you at a much lower rate in the future IIRC

The "search" feature will be your biggest asset. I believe this has been covered in a few threads

Thanks for the welcome.

I just did a bunch of searches and found a lot of info on my question #2, but I still can't find anything on #1 or 3.

Maybe there is no solution. But if there is, and someone knows, please let me know. Thx.

I haven't figured out a way to disable the text alerts unless you disable it on your phone. Does the same to me when I get an email. I may just switch over to an iPod I dunno.

I have XM so i use the three pages.

Congrats on the G, enjoy it!
