Question Help with replacement tires

My 2009 G37x sedan with 40,000 miles is in need of new tires. I'm trying to decide on what tires to purchase and would love some feedback from fellow G owners about the tires they gave purchased. I am leaning toward Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3.

You can go a little wider if you'd like w/ a 245/50/17, as far as tires, if you deal w/ freezing temps/snow a lot then an All Season like the A/S 3s would be a good choice, if your freezing temps and snow are rare than a summer tire would perform better in the wet & dry. The Michelin Pilot Super Sports get the best overall ratings, for a decent alternative on a cheaper budget the Toyo Proxes T1Sports are a good option.
BTW, welcome to the site!

Thanks for the welcome, I live in New England so the only way to use a summer tire would be to also have winter tires and I am too lazy to be bothered with switching my tires twice a year, would rather use an all season.

I purchased a set of Nitto Motivo's for my other vehicle. We live in the Chicago area and they performed very well in the snow on a AWD vehicle. I would not hesitate to put them on my G when it needs a new set.

9K on my Motivo's and I'm very happy with them. They're sticky in all conditions and have handled a very cold winter very well. I can't speak to their performance in the snow b/c I used our trucks during our "snowstorms"

I have Michelin Pilot A/S 3 tires on my 550i and love them. Great all around tire!

I was really happy with the two sets of Nitto Neo Gen I had on my old car, but they don't come in the sizes for my G. Based on that experience I would give the Motivo a try since it looks like an updated model of the same, but I don't need all-season handling where I live now. The past few months I've been driving on Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum which seems to be very quiet and comfortable and rated for very high treadwear, but I don't know that the absolute traction capability is very high, haven't tested the limits. I would also consider the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymm which comes out to only $660 after coupon and rebate in 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 from Discount Tire on eBay. See here for details:

I picked up a set of hankook ventus v12.love em.not all season but for the price, well i just could not resist.Way better than the bridgestone potnza.and a heck of a lot cheaper than the pilots.not as good as the michelins, but half the cost.just my two cents.I live up here in canada so my poor g37s coupe just gets parked for the winter.winter time is play time for my 4x4.lol.welcome to the club.

I'm fairly certain I'll be running the A/S3s come wintertime. It depends on whether I can get a good comparison with the Norwegian A/S and whether I can find a size that will work on my G. Having the second set of rims will, hopefully, make things a little easier.
