Infiniti symbol what is it?

The Infiniti icon what is that supposed to be...Anybody know any history on the infiniti brand?

There's two versions of what the symbol means, one is Mt. Fuji like Anthony replied, the other is the "never ending road" hence "driving to Infiniti". If you look at the logo it's like two tire tracks leading to "Infiniti". Either way, it's one of the best auto logos there is IMO.

Never would have guessed that. Thanks. Kinda makes you wonder what the Toyota symbol stands for. Looks kind of like an atom with electrons.

I always thought the logo was made up of the letters TOYOTA.

My favorite auto makers symbol is by far the Maseratti. That just looks hot. The Infiniti emblem would be my second or third. I also like the Jaguar badge.

I like emblems that have some meaning, rather than just the first letter of the car or the name of the brand. Always thought Infiniti was unique and had some thought behind it. Also like the Acura calipers, cool that it's the letter "A" and a tool of precision. The Viper logo is pretty badas$ too

I work Toyota manufacturing and we were told that the Ellipses means the unification of the hearts of the customers and the heart of Toyota products. The background space represents Toyota's technological advancement and the boundless opportunities ahead or the global economy, depending on who you talk to.
