Thinking of Trading In A5 for G37x Coupe
Thinking of Trading In A5 for G37x Coupe
Hello!
I have a 2011 Audi A5 Premium Plus Quattro. I have always loved 350z/370z and their G counter parts.
Living in Chicago I find AWD necessary and peace of mind during winters. I am thinking of trading in my A5 for similar year G37x Coupe but wanted to do some research.
The ultimate goal is to save some money for other priorities both in car payment and hopefully insurance.
I was curious what people pay in insurance on the G37x is and what provider (I'm 26 and Single).
How does the G37x handle in the snow?
As much as I would like to get a 6MT. Driving stick in Chicago traffic would suck albeit a good workout. I am looking at 2009-2011. Is there a model year you would recommend. I read there was a refresh in 2011 and a 7 speed transmission utilized in 2010 possibly?
Any things/model years to watch out for for the G37x coupe as I start looking.
Thanks!

There are many Audi fans on this board-me included. You won't get that German vault like feel and attention to detail. Then again, you won't get the German maintenance costs either. Both cars are great so you're looking at a Heineken/Becks comparison.
I looked very hard at the S4 before I picked up my G this summer but felt the value was better with the G. That was important for me since the G is my commuter. Otherwise I'd be driving a S4! If I had only had 2 kids, I'd be driving an A5/S5 cabrio!!!!
I pay 850/year on the G with Progressive. We did that Snapshot deal from 12/12-5/13 and that dropped our rates by 23%.
