New G37 owner, tons of questions
New G37 owner, tons of questions
So I just bought a new G37 coupe
I'm coming from a 07 corolla lmao so it is definitely a big step up. But now there are some challenges ahead as I pretty much don't know anything about cars. My corolla never ever gave me an issue. When I had it all I had to do was take it to get oil changes and that's it. But for my G37 I want to make sure it runs at peak performance all the time. So one of my questions is how often do I take it to get maintenance? Should I take it to the dealership for everything?
I also have a samsung galaxy note 3, and my car not being the navigation model does not stream through Bluetooth. I have a USB port in my center console, which does not detect my phone, it keeps saying "check device connected" I've tried troubleshooting in google but have not found an answer, any thoughts? Is there any adapters I can buy to put a regular aux in my car? It works fine with my iPhone 5S (work phone) but not my personal phone.
Another issue that I have is, I purchased my car CPO, and I wanted to activate my Sirius xm membership, I have looked everywhere to try to find the radio ID but it does not let me switch to channel 0. Any idea on how I can fix this?
Thanks so much for all your input,
Here's a pic of the baby
My cousin also has 4 asanti rims he used to have on his old 5 series, and he's going to give them to me for free, does changing the wheels void the warranty? I'm also skeptical about them idk if they would look good, I think they're more for a sedan. Your thoughts appreciated

those ugly Asanti rims will not fit your car so save your time and do not try to put them on. Even if they fit, they would look very horrible on the car.
As for playing music from your phone, just get a cable like this on Amazon, plug it into the RCA output on the car, the one with 3 colors, black/white/yellow and the other end to the phone.
Amazon.com: Stereo AUX-IN Cable 3.5mm to 2 x RCA Phono (4ft/1.2m) for connecting iPods, iPhones, smartphones and mp3 players - With stepped slimline connector, to accommodate smartphone and mp3 player cases: Electronics
Maintenance can be done at dealership and they will charge you stealership's price (expensive) or you can take it to any local mechanic shop (DO NOT go to Pepboys or Jiffy Lube) for cheaper maintenance like oil change, or fluid change.
See your owner's manual for recommended service interval.

gio what spacers (how many mm) on your avatar? Are those stock wheels?
Congrats J on the car, I just got mine 2 days ago. To answer one of your questions..no wheels will not void your warranty

Actual required maintenance is dependent on many factors, like driving style, weather, etc. I think 5000miles for standard oil changes, 7500 maybe if you use full synthetic. It is also worthwhile to use K&N oil filters over the OEM ones. The OEM oil filters are laughably small. Since you have a CPO, I don't think the car would have OEM tires, but those will wear out fairly quickly. Check your tread with a proper tread gauge and replace as necessary. The dealership should be able to go over the recommended inspection intervals. It's always better to change more often than necessary, than it is to change less often.

My car does not have the RCA. I see the three little holes where the RCA used to be or should have been but there's nothing there. I wish there was another workaround, but from what it looks like infiniti made it so that only apple devices will work with the USB which is the only thing that is in my car. Thanks for all your help.

Welcome to the forum. Your sirius ID will be on channel Zero, you'll need to turn the right tuner **** to land exactly on zero, I think.
