Proud owner of 2013 G37x Coupe

Just purchased my car a week ago and have already caught the mod bug.

Completed:
Tint -
Laser Interceptor installation - Both Tint and LI done by AUDIO DESIGNS in Manhattan (now they go by the name of AUTO DESIGN). Professional guys that definitely know what they're doing!
Diode Dynamic LED lighting - Great pricing, great product.

Waiting on:
180custom lights - scheduled for Tuesday install (local to NY)
Stillen Gen3 Intake - should arrive Monday (late due to flooding in CO)
Fast Intentions Carbon Fiber CBE (wait list)
Fast Intentions HFC's (wait list)

Wish List:
Vossen CV1's
IPL Kit
Something to lower my car but allows me to still drive in NY

Thanks to everyone on this forum for helping me make some of these decisions!

Congratulations and welcome to the G37x Coupe club!

Sweet list of mods you got there. As for lowering, so far springs are the only option I believe, but give it a month at most and we should have AMR Engineering coilovers reviews.

Thanks Sylo! I thought I read on these forums somewhere that the KW v3's may be the coilover of choice, but then again it might've been 3AM when I was reading it lol, so I could be completely and utterly wrong.

Either way, I'll start looking into those AMRs.

Congrats on your new G. Don't know what kind of a budget your on but Swift springs will give you a small drop that won't rattle your teeth on NY roads. I've got them on my xs sedan and am quite pleased with the ride. Of course coilovers are a great way to go if you like the ability to change your ride height. Either way I'm sure your in for a lot of fun building your ride.

I love this forum! Thanks for all the recommendations! Keep'em coming.

Also, what does everyone think of the Motordyne Intake Manifold... is it worth the approx $500? I read that I can see some gains in the midrange, but wanted to see what everyone thought.

Afaik, the KW V3's are not direct install for the X chassis, you would need to cut the body or something like that. Some members have already received their coilovers from AMR so expect reviews pretty soon!

Swift or Eibach springs give a decent drop without going crazy. There are not too many coilover options for the X. BC has a set but I have heard mixed reviews.

Congrats on the ride! Have fun!

Welcome to the site, gotta say you're off to a flying start, and like mentioned above, wish 180 was close to me, consider yourself blessed
There's another option for your X, but it requires a slight modification to get it just right, but might be the mildest drop option and still not a budget breaker~

My 09 G37xS (AWD) Lowered on Tanabe - Droopy Bum fix too!(PICS) - G35Driver

Look forward to pics and all that you've got going you should make a build thread in the coupe folder.

Wow blnewt, you got some awesome / helpful posts on the forum!
I was looking into properly sizing out wheels / tires for the x coupe and I see your name everywhere. This proved very helpful as well:

Might have to hit you up for some advice later

Huge thanks!

Welcome and congrats!
I am lowered on BC BR coils on my x coupe. It is bearable imo and not too bad. Where in NY do you reside?

I've been doing some research on the Swift springs and it looks very promising! Looks like it'll be a better ride with Koni's but still researching that.

Thanks for the recommendation!
