Goodbye Accord, Hello G37s!
Goodbye Accord, Hello G37s!
Hello everyone! I recently parted out and sold my 2010 Accord coupe because it just seemed to be lacking in many departments. I had been looking for the past few months for the best deal in my price range and finally came across a nice 2008 G37s 6MT with only 33k miles for a pretty decent deal ( below $22k). Literally driven by a 67 year old man only on Sundays. Man does it feel good to have a RWD car again!
I don't normally post much, but I look forward to learning more here as I begin to upgrade the car. I already have a set of Vossen CV7's that I had on the accord that may make their way over. Oddly enough, I also have a set of BMW 745i wheels (redrilled) that I am curious to see what they look like, just for sh*ts &giggles of course. Next up is a modest drop and a short shift kit.
Thanks for having me here...

Wow thats crazy, I have the same color 2010 accord coupe (dd) and the same color 08 g37 lol. The G is much more enjoyable to drive, but the accord gets such good gas mileage for daily driving. Congrats on your new car and enjoy!

Thanks everyone!
First noticeable difference is the handling. Sure its a fwd/rwd comparison, but the G feels more solid in the steering to me. I also enjoy the refinement of the interior better. One of my main reasons for the change was just the performance aspect. There isn't much aftermarket support for the 8th gen which took away some of the excitement for me. Options for the G will allow me to take the car in almost any direction I want (all power, all handling, style or all of the above).

So oddly enough, before I even have my permanent plates on the car, I found and installed an IPL kit in my color thanks to another member here, installed a full LED kit from Diode Dynamics, new clutch pedal spring from Jsolo and slapped on those previously mentioned Vossen wheels. Next step will be adjusting the bumpers to get all panels a little more flush and even, lowering, changing/selling of the wheels and an exhaust. I told myself I would take it slow this time too...
