New to the group and needed some advice.

I'm supposed to be picking up an 09 g37x this weekend but I'm having second thoughts. The car has 60k on it but is showroom clean in and out. No warranty and costs 20k. Should I hold out another week or two and put a few more thousand down and get half the miles and factory warranty? Here's the problem, i have terrible credit i have crohns disease and lost (repo) my 04 g35x while sick in 06 in and out of the hospital. So.. I will be putting 15k down and having my girlfriend angel, hence my screen name, sign the loan since it will be her daily driver. !!!!!!!suggestions!!!!!! Ps I'm a man. Names Joe.

How much more would you pay and long is the warranty? I'd see if you could take that car to a mechanic and have it fully checked out. If nothing's wrong with it, no sense in shelling out a few more thousand. But if you have the cash, do whatever will give you the peace of mind.

I took it to a mechanic and he said it was in great condition. The car looks like it was never driven. He also said he could find one cheaper or with less miles. The miles are the only issue I'm having personally. Well, and the car is basic. No frills no navigation but I use my iphone anyway. No backup cameras no fog lights...... And I like wood not that silver they put in most of them. I'm going to hold off a little longer I think.

For $20K I would think you could find one with more features and less miles.

Yeah especially with me putting 3/4 of the money down. I'm going to keep looking. It's just frustrating as soon as see one I like it won't have the right interior. I would just get a wood kit but I haven't seen any that look quality. Or somebody treated their car like trash and I don't want to clean up after another slob. I do that enough at home with my 10 yr old daughter.

Yeah if your putting a hefty amount down, I would wait for another.

But also, you don't want to run your credit too much as it will make it worse. Just curious but what do you payments look like.with that much down?

Payments would be next to nothing. 215mo I think they said. Im passing on this one. Sick of looking now though. I want an x with under 40k that someone took care of. I don't really want to but I think I may have to go to the dealer auction.

Have you looked on a national level?

When I bought mine, I put 6k down and my payments are just over 400. And yes my credit is not as healthy as others. Money talks in this business, even if you dropped 10 k on a down payment that would help.

And from there you can use what you need of the extra 5k for plane tickets and travel expenses
