I messed up my rims and Need Help!
I recently sprayed my Volks rims with Mother's Wheels and Tire cleaner and it looks like I poured acid on them. I've tried to clean and buff them and still no luck. Anyone know what I can do? Please help!!!

Go to Mothers website and see if they have any info. I would also check with Volks and see if they have any recommended steps.
Would be a good idea to call them too.
As a last resort, go to a detail shop and as them if they can do anything about it. Typically, a detail shop charges around $10 per wheel for a thorough cleaning.
Best of luck

Those wheels are anodized aluminum and have some sort of clear coat. Unfortunately it appears that the product you used is too harsh and has ruined your finish.
You can take them to a shop that is experienced in refinishing wheels and have them polish them back to a high shine and then powdercoat them clear to protect them. If you don't apply clear powdercoat or paint after polishing, they will turn that way again in time. Then you will need to treat them as you would your paint when cleaning.

If they do good work that is not a bad price. the lips should look like new if done properly. You learned an expensive $500 lesson to only use mile soap and water to clean anodized aluminum wheel lips. As tough a pill as that is to swallow, feel a little better knowing that you are not the only one.
