Anotha G from Vegas

Hello
Finally got my 2012 G37, been eyeing it since ooohhh the G35? But I got the Journey w/premium package only, no S or X ,but its all good, This car is a blast , hope I don`t get a ticket. Coming from a toyota matrix, this is bigtime luxury and sporty for me lol!! Dealer tinted my windows for free ,not its time to shop for rims/tires. I tried to blackout my grill today, but damn it`s a b***h to take off the damn grill!! I might just wrap it with vinyl. oh yeah this photo is before it got tinted.

welcome and good luck with modifications. first thing Id reccomend doing is dropping the car. come up with an estimated budget for mods and then search the forum for good information.

enjoy the car.love the G

Thank you!!!most definitely I need to drop this baby, Now questions, If I drop this would it void my warranty? I have an extended warranty. And should I drop it before buying rims/tires? what lowering kit would you recommend? thx

not sure about the warranty situation other people may know the answer to that question.

if you get 20'' wheels the car will look 4x4 all terrain vehicle(unless for some odd reason you like that style).

basic/cheap lowering you can go with springs: eibach, hr....most go with eibach
more expensive lowering= coils 1k and up to kw 3 which are 2k excluding install

after a drop youll likely need a camber kit for the front and perhaps the rear

when lowering the car or opting to get wheels first you will likely want to do either one right after wich means more $

wheels first---youll realize you need to lower the car
drop first---youll realize you need spacers or wheels next

either way it adds up pretty quick. I highly reccomend that you search all suspension, wheel, and other upgrade information on the forum first before posting NOOB threads of any sort because others have gone that method and have been verbally abused for not searching......JUST as an FYI thats all.

I think 90% of all scenarios regarding a drop and wheels is discussed on this forum by very knowledgable members unless you want something totally off the wall.
