Smile Hey Guys!

Dear myg37 members,

I hope you all had a great start on the new year! I've been a long time Nissan/Infiniti fan since I was a kid. As a background, my parents had an 04 G35 sedan when I was in grade school. Then after, my dad had a cool idea for valentine's day and traded the g sedan for a red g coupe for my mother! lol Anyways, I have been deciding on a daily driver for the future and wanted your guys opinion. I was considering a 2011 STI, but after driving one and reading up on IWSTI the in's and out's, I decided not to. Plus I wasn't a fan of the steering. It felt really numb imho when I drove one and the interior was a bit cheap. No offense to the Subaru guys here. It's a great car, but the only reason I liked it was the turbo. My choice now is between the G Coupe or the G Sedan. Back to the topic, I currently drive an 08 Nismo 350z. I feel more comfortable in another vq equipped car. I've learned so much from the my daily forum, my350z, that it would just be right to purchase a car that I had a background in. Plus, who doesn't like the sexiness of the G? lol The only thing I'm debating is the back seat room in the G coupe. I remember how spacious it was back when I was in elementary school, but not sure about now. You could say it's been awhile! lol Edmunds and some other sites say that it's pretty cramped. I guess I gotta just see for myself. That's another factor I'm considering when I eventually get the car. If there is any other words of wisdom you could share that would be great! Thanks guys for all your help! I know the procedure, this thread is worthless without pics!

Here y'all go:

Welcome to the forum. Nice Z. If you care about a back seat, get the sedan. If you don't get the coupe.

Nice Nismo! In all honesty we could give all kinds of advice and try to help make a decision for you but in the end, it will be up to you which you choose. I say the best thing to do would be to go to a dealership, drive both and see which one makes more sense and weigh your options there.

In short, the back seat is cramped in the coupe but I wouldn't have anyone ride in my back seat either way due to weight/rubbing and I hate having a lot of people in my car. If you need the option of a back seat that is practical and truely usable, get the sedan.

I have ridden in the back seat of our coupe and thought it had decent room for a coupe. I don't think I would want to be back there for a long trip but running around town is fine. I am 5'-10". The thing is though you are going to have more room in a sedan. Its far easier to put things in the back seat with the doors. I am sure if this was my only car, even though the wife and I are empty nesters, I would have bought a sedan.

Thanks for the feedback bros! I'm glad to hear that y'all liked the car! It seems to stand out like a hot girl at the club as opposed to a classy girl who keeps it real. Either way, I love them both. Earlier, I thought I said something to offend y'all on my first post because there were a lot of views, but not many posts. lol Btw, I checked out a GTR and thinking that it had a back seat, I was surprised it was very small imho. Anyways, I'm still leaning toward the coupe. These are the reasons why.

Also, giving credit to the members of these cars.

All in all, sexy and a lot smoother looking imho.

but if worst comes to worse, I don't mind the sedan. It'll give me peace of mind when I need some room for some reason. Either way, I'll be happy with either one. Thanks guys again for the kind words and warm welcome to the boards! You all got very nice rides!

Don't forget to check out the private classified section for Gs for sale on this site too... You may be able to find one that comes well built already!

I also came from a 07Z to my Current G Coupe, trust me it's a huge upgrade and it's wy worth it. The backseat is also not bad. Get the Coupe!

I have owned both and am currently in a G37 Sport Sedan.
I just cant see giving up the back seat room for 2 less doors.
But then again I have 2

Where are you located?

I'm still going to keep the Nismo because the chassis (seam welded) is perfect as is. Plus I"ll be using it at the track in the future. I agree with you. It's more classier imho. Btw, loving the Vossen's on the coupe!

Very true. I'm going to check one out asap to see the amount of space both have. Previously, I was located in ATL, Georgia, but now I'm located in Arizona.

Exactly what I was thinking. Just like your coupe and the ones I posted above is the reason I'm leaning toward the coupe more.
