Search Help

Ok, I'm a newbie to this site, but I am familiar with search functionality.

Can someone point me in the direction to an explanation on the Search for this site?

I'm trying to do a "Match All Words" search on posts. I don't see this specific option on the Advanced search page (although it is provided on the FAQ search page for some reason).

The weird thing is that "Match All Words" appears to be the default functionality when you are NOT logged into the site, which is perfect. But as soon as you login, it defaults back to "Match Any Word", which is pretty useless.

I'm sure there's some syntax that I should be using or something I'm missing, but I can't figure it out.

Please help!

what exactly are you searching for? THe search function you can narrow down to the headlight, the actual thread, and even to the individual who wrote the topic/post.

was doing a variety searches, such as 'shuffle iPod playlist'. But it was returning all posts with either just iPod or just Playlist or just Shuffle by itself in itself, which was a little overwhelming and mostly results not relevant. Really wanted only the posts that had all 3 of those words included in it.

Not that big of a deal, but figured there was a simple syntax solution.

If not, I'll just stick with the google idea.
