Question on blackout window trim?

Question on blackout window trim?

Hello, I was wondering for the guys that black out the window trims to black, do you guys paint them black or tape them black? Thanks if its tape, where can i get it? Is it removable or do it on car? Thanks alot!

people here do it all different ways. if you want cheap, go with plastidip. it wont be super smooth, but itll look good from a distance. plastidip is only like $8/can, and you would only need 2 cans to put enough coats for a window trim. this is removable. the second way some people do it is actually paint it. that would be a permanent solution, but will look the cleanest. i haven't heard of people putting tape on their trims, maybe some vinyl though..

Had mine done with vinyl, paint is another quality option too. Either way it is all about the quality of the install/paint job

the B pillar is vinyl. So wrapping the trim in a glossy black vinyl will match really well too
