Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forums. What made you switch from BMW to Infiniti? And what are the differences you perceive in the G37 vs. the 330?

 

The number one issue that made me switch from the BMW to Infiniti was the price for what you get. Infiniti has made great strides in upgrading to actually fit into the luxury category in the past 3-5 years while still maintaining a price level that is reasonable. I paid under 30K for a car the same size as a 5 series (pretty much) while maintaining good power, performance, and luxury. A 3 series BMW with the same mileage/options etc would cost roughly the same and is a smaller car.

The G37 doesn't has as much "feel" of sportiness as the 3 series but it is larger (not to mention about 700lbs heavier) and I sit higher off the ground relative to the 330. One friend of mine commented that it was nice to "slide in" to the G instead of "falling in" to the 330. It is also roomier and feels less like I'm in a "cockpit" than the 330 did. Additionally, I like the styling of the Infiniti better than the E92 series BMW's. It flows a lot nicer and I still don't understand the redesign of the sides of the BMW's, they look disjointed with the large line down the side these days.
