Thumbs up Second time owner

I just picked up my second Infiniti today. It is a 180 degree turn from my first one. It is an '09 black on black 'vert, loaded.
Some weak pics in my garage follow.

First thing is a decent rear spoiler! C'mon Infiniti.
Actually the FIRST thing is a de-badging.

Congrats man, didn't expect anyone in Halifax to have one (how often do you even get to open the roof)? Haha I'm joking.. I'm down in Toronto, though I've been to the Maritimes a few times, have to say it's beautiful out there!

I'm actually picking up our new G37x coupe tomorrow... coming from the 07 G35x sedan in my sig. The 07 was black/black (like your vert) and the coupe is black/stone, I needed some variety haha.

BTW car looks great man!

I opened it once just to see it work. It probably won't get down again until April.

I test drove an X and I love their AWD system and will miss it. I just really wanted all the sports goodies, mechanical and cosmetic. I am coming from an M35X.

April eh? At least you got something to look forward to in these dark, cold winter months haha.

Totally understand you on the sports goodies .... I will be looking to get a sport front bumper put on my X as well as some aftermarket wheels (possibly a set from a G37S, although they are staggered I've read mixed things on how they affect the AWD system and will talk to my dealer tomorrow about it)... obviously getting a set of sport seats, the sport big brake kit, the sport suspension, and some of the other mechanical features of the sport will be difficult, but hey at least I can have a mean looking G37x!

I've currently got the rear spoiler as well as midnight black grille on order. The parts won't be in until we are back from our vacation (going to Texas for a week haha), but hopefully once they are on the car it will look really good.

First, congrats to the OP. I love the blue slate color, but I could very well see going black on black in a few years with a car, I did that once in the 90's on a car.

And I'm in the states, but my ex was Canadian. Her brother in law was originally from Halifax, I never did go (Both my home town and hers in Canada are WAY on the other side of the continent from Nova Scotia) but from photos I saw it does look very beautiful there.

Anyway, enjoy the car!

I was thinking about dressing up an X model, but after test driving an X and then the sports model I was sold. If you have to hit the brakes HARD at highway speed there is a big difference.
That is what I will keep telling myself as my car fishtails up the hill to my house in the winter.

If I was ordering ( I got a deal on the showroom model), I would get Athens Blue. Just finished a 4 yr lease with B on B. Now another 4 years with B on B. I think a black car is great, except for the CONSTANT cleaning.

Yeah, I did "kind of" order, I looked for cars from dealerships within about a 300 mile radius of me (my local one had NO G37 coupes of any sort, just a couple G37x sedans and a couple convertables, they are mostly a Nissan dealer and just have Infiniti as an afterthought it seems), and anyway found a blue slate G37x at another dealer and they shipped it to here locally.

Anyway, I almost did go Athens Blue, my 2003 Acura CL type S that was my trade in was basically..well as close to Athens Blue as it could be without being a G37..I think the color name was even something like Blue Aegean on the Acura. But then I saw blue slate on another model of car, and then saw some photos of blue slate here on this site, and fell in love with the color. SO, when I saw another dealer had a blue slate one, I was pretty much sold.

Anyway, I don't want to hijack your thread too much, so I'll say congrats on your car. /cheer

Congrats to you on your car purchase!
One last note on a convertible purchase. I bought this because I thought it was a better looking coupe with the roof up. I like the side view and rear view more. But the weight penalty sucks! Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

I really need to some better pics up. Every time I walk out to the garage I am smitten by the wide hips.
