need some help!!!

Whats goin on everyone

Names nick and I personally dont own a g37. I hope to get a IP coupe soon though.

But anyways my friend who owns a grey g37 coupe is looking for something for his car for under ($200) (his gf is going to be getting him something for xmas)

Can anybody give me some suggestions as to what she could buy for that price range. I was looking into Stillen and APR splitters but they're outside of her price range. I was also maybe thinking a full LED conversion kit (interior, fogs, reverse, license plate, etc.,)

If there are any vendors that has any specials going on please feel free to pm me. I dont know how this forum works but for my e60 (5 series) forums i cant pm until i have 5 posts under my belt. So please feel free to pm me or just reply to this post.

Also, moderators, if this isnt the place to post this kind of information please feel free to publish this in other topics.

Thanks for viewing and thanks in advance for the responses everyone!

Nick

Welcome Nick, you post is just fine. You'll really need to find out if your friend prefers appearance or performance based mods to know what he'd like for under $200.

We have a forum specifically for Supporting Vendors where many have threads with specials all the time. PM any of them for best pricing.

Also, since your friend is already a G37 owner, encourage him to join too.

Thanks for the info black betty.

Ive already informed him of myg37.com but hes not really a big fan of forums, internet networking sites, and all that other fun stuff haha.

As far as i know he doesnt really care if its performance or cosmetics. But im pretty sure hes not going to be touching the engine until warranty is over. He was looking into intake systems but i told him he could do other engine mods for that price that gives better performance boosts. IMHO intakes dont really do much here in so cal.

Ive also tried looking into the vendor section of the forums but everything looks like its out of his girls price range. Unless ive missed something.

Any other ideas?

Welcome on board Nick, for 200 bux she's better off getting him a nice wallet or something in that domain. The modding business isn't cheap I can tell you that.

Is your friend even into modding his ride etc..? I know many G owners who wouldn't pay a penny to mod thier rides coz they're too scared or think it's not worth the headache.

Maybe a Splitter? But again, that would look funny on a totally stock car. HID Conversion Kit for the fog lights? (Would he appreciate that though? )

Props to the girlfriend for thinking in that direction though

I would do full LED conversion, 6000K headlight bulbs, keyhole delete, debadge (does not cost anything). Then maybe a keychain or something with the little bit left over.

What about carbon fiber? Well within your budget and ready to ship.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

Well he already has a Burberry wallet so I don't think another wallet would make sense but I see where you're coming from G37Sam. I was thinking splitter too but the knock-off Stillen splitter I found on this forum doesn't sell for much less than the original Stillen one. Also the APR splitter is way out of her budget. I don't think it would look too weird while its completely stock since it's a somewhat subtle mod.

Also I told her about all the LED conversions and the HID fogs and headlights but she wants to get him something more eye popping and more noticeable I think. But I already let her know that she probably would not find anything under $200 like that.

Can you guys point me in the right direction for the LED bulbs (interior & license plate) and HID Fog & Headlight & the keyhole covers.

UCLA Bruin, those CF Mirror Covers look pretty sick but I think those would look pretty awkward on a completely stock car, more awkward than a splitter would look. But I'll let her know that these are available as well.

Once again, thanks everyone for the input and sorry if I'm being too critical of some mods and what not.

Thanks!

Nick

Which roof spoiler were you referring to Stoof? I looked into the cf ait roof wing but iirc i think it was outside her budget.

Also on a sidenote, he would prefer to have cf parts over painted parts.

Thanks again everyone.

I agree on the full LED conversion and maybe some 6K HID bulbs. alot of people like v-leds (google it) and as far as HID goes I got some nice bulbs from ddmtuning.com for a great price. Or I think the GTSpec Strut Tower Bar is right around that 200 mark.

He does drive pretty hard at times, turns quick and stuff cuz he loves the "grounded" feeling. He might like this since it stiffens his suspension (correct me if I'm wrong).
