New owner of a 09 G37s Sedan
New owner of a 09 G37s Sedan
Just thought this would be the best place to introduce myself based on prior forum experiance.
I am picking up my 2009 G sedan tomorrow from Infiniti of Mission Viejo. The car will be the Journey model with Premium, Navi and Sport package. My previous car was a 2003 Evo VIII and prior to that I had a 95 240sx. I have always been a Nissan/Infiniti fan based on a family members employment with Nissan from the early 80's to the late 90's. I left the Nissan family for the Evo just due to the fact that I wanted a Turbo motored car that I could tinker with and boy did I get the chance to tinker with that ride. Well that ended suddenly on October 19 when I accidentally rear ended someone that had stopped for a pedestrian in a cross walk when I was looking out the passenger side window of my car. I figured with the loss of my Evo and my current age and family situation, it was time to ditch the Miso ride (a term coined by one of my coworkers and not meant to offend anyone here) and to buy a more sensible family car that I could continue to modify and was a hoot to drive in stock form. BTW, I am no stranger to modifying cars as my wifes current ride is a 2003 FX35 with a full HKS GT super charger and my Evo was also well put together with many parts from the HKS catalog. I guess you could say that I am pretty much an HKS *****.
I am still an active member with socalevo.net and am also a moderator for that site. If your interested in checking it out, my screen name is hksevo8 over there.
I can't wait to pick up my new car tomorrow and hope to get the chance to meet many of the other owners on this site. I will also post pics of my prior cars and my new car just as soon as I figure out how to do so on this forum. I look forward to learning alot from the members here and hope to be a fine addition to your site.

Lol, I was right there with you man. I just traded in my 2006 Subaru STi on Monday for a new 2009 G37s. The last weekend was spent all day returning her back to stock so I could trade her in. I have no regrets with the G. Very comfy and still has some get up and go. I hope you will like your new baby.
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!! So I ended up picking up my G on Friday and have enjoyed every minute spent with her. I can not believe the amount of options this car has for the price. I am just totally smitten with the car and show it off to everyone I can. Here is a really quick pic I have taken. I am going back to the dealer on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to have the dealer install the rear deck spoiler.

HKSG37, That's about the best car you got. I got my '09 G37S Sedan 6MT in July, after 4 years of lasting, researching and wishing for it, but couldn't afford it!
I love every bit of the car.. I actually had it ordered because I wanted each and every option Infiniti could put in the car... Nav, Premium, 4 wheel Active Steering, Tech pkg, Adaptive Front lighting, rear spoiler... the works! The $hit is I had to wait 16weeks for it to be assembled and shipped to me.
You will love that car, and trust me... it's the "David" in the David and Goliath Story; small but a killer!
