I pulled the trigger today and am having an Athens Blue G37 shipped into town. I sold off the 2003 350Z because my wife and I just had a baby, the wife didn't like/wouldn't tolerate driving a 6MT. My consolation prize was a brand new G37, automatic, but with Sport Package-I can deal Having a car payment again is going to be rough, though.

I'm going to head down to the detailing section for this question, but since it was the main inspiration in registering for the boards, I figure I'll throw it in here as well. I'm leaning towards having Infiniti install a clear bra (lifetime warranty through Infiniti, or so they say), but the brand they're using is Bekaert. Everything I've seen on the boards generally refers to 3M or Venture Shield, with a leaning towards Venture Shield for quality. Anyone know anything about Bekaert?

Don't know about the clear bra brand you mentioned.

Bandit... which part of Texas (pretty big place)... just as Jeremy mentioned above there are several places to choose from. I'm very pleased with my 3M treatment.

 

I'm in Round Rock, just north of Austin. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

And I don't consider the 7AT a puss-out. I consider it a tactical compromise.

You won't regret the 7AT. I came from a 6MT sports car as well.

As for the clear bra, my dealer tried to offer me one but couldn't give me the details on the brand so I stuck with Ventureshield. If they give you a lifetime warranty and you feel comfortable then go for it, but if you can get Ventureshield for the same or better price it's also warrantied for life. The dealer does not install this themselves and has to contract out so check out the details before deciding.

Welcome to our forum!! There's an Athens Blue G coupe at my local dealer and every time I drive by I think to myself, "maybe I should have thought through my color choice again". AB is sexy and a rare color, so consider yourself lucky. Glad to have you as a member on here! Definitely look into VentureShield. I will ALWAYS put a VS clear bra on every new car I own from here on out. Completely worth the investment. My paint on my front end is flawless thanks to VS.
