new to Infiniti

I've been wanting a G37 since they came out, and finally broke down last weekend and bought one. I wasn't even intending to buy a car, but came a across a used '08 in black obsidian with 1700 miles and couldn't pass it up. The previous owner had the windows tinted and grill/moldings painted; I'm loving the murdered out look. I'd been hoping to find a Cayman S; but have not at all regretted the G37. I've been browsing for a while and it looks like there is tons of potential with the G37.

I'm sad to see my '06 WRX go, but the G37 is so much easier to commute with. I guess I'm getting old, butt here's just no comparison. I've been surprised how friendly the Infiniti crowd it; I've already had several people with Infiniti's stop to talk. The subie crowd was the same and I was worried after seeing the golf bag instructions in the truck what kind of people buy these

Hopefully these aren't bad in the snow since I've had AWD only for more than ten years (still have my '92 talon, but its no longer very streetable). I guess I'll wait to mod until spring

Congrats & Welcome .

Good choice though, I was looking at a Cayman S as well, but I just got too good of a deal at Infiniti to pass it up, I had a G35 previously so the decision wasn't that difficult for me. You should save a lot when it comes to the maintenance.

I'm still surprised to see how many STI & EVO owners have moved to a G37. I'm still contemplating on getting a more performance oriented car, but like you said, I guess it's due to those guys getting older and I'm only 22.

It's not a bad thing to wait on modding anyway. I'm sure most of the products will be released by then and some of the verdicts will be out on current parts. At least you don't have to keep waiting around or purchase mods just to have them until the part you wanted came out like a lot of us here.

Thanks for the welcome, glad to be here!

At 36, I'm not as surprised to see people moving towards the G37. I'll bet we see more as the G37x becomes more available. I'm not knocking the STi in any way, it's an amazing car, it's just only built for going fast.

I don't have any really good pics, but here are some teasers...

If you're "loving the murdered out look," then you should definitely send X-Vert a private message about his Ironman mod. Use the search feature and type in Ironman and check out some of the pictures of his work. It'll certainly complete the "murdered out look" that you're going for!!

get some opaque overlays for the tail lights and paint the head light housing OB

that would totally murder it out to a sinister look !!!!

Finally got a few better pics today. The ironman headlights are sick; stockers look garish compared to them.
