New Member saying hello with an ergonomic question
Hello from Los Angeles
. This is a great forum and I'm looking forward to contributing to its awesomeness-isity. I've had my BO g37 premium/nav for about a month now and I absolutely love it. Just washed and waxed that sexy ***. Going to get 15% tints and debadge this weekend.
Future plans: paint the grill black (I've seen some sick BO g37's on here with the black grill), after market black rims (19" or 20" inch, any suggestions?), springs, and yellow calipers.
QUESTION: For iphone users, where do you keep your iphone when its hooked up and ur driving? Cupholder seems to be the best place but I don't have a case so it kinda scratches. The center console kinda sucks because then I can't check out text messages or emails. Any cool solutions to this problem?

Welcome.
Grille - I think lots of us particularly with BO will be blacking out the grille. I too think it looks awesome.
Wheels - Volk GTC are awesome but still out of my price range due to being a cheapskate.
I love my Tanabe NFS210 spings. If you don't want to be slammed really low, they are the way to go IMO.
There are a couple of places where you can send your calipers to get powdercoated and the results are awesome. I unfortunately can't think of where they are at the moment, somebody will chime in to help.
My best suggestion for your iPhone is to get a rubber case. I have one and it's great. I have a 6MT and simply lay the phone face up in the case on top of the sliding top of the cup holder compartment in front of the armrest. With the rubber armor it doesn't slide around. Works great for me. Enjoy your G!

I keep mine in the cupholder as well, but sometimes depeding which cable i'm using, I leave it in the center console.
What's your budget on the rims?

I haven't priced any rims yet so I'm unsure about the budget. I'm going to be looking for a nice balance of quality and price (as I'm sure everybody is). This is my first car to really mod so, what do you think is a good starting point for rims and tires? Maybe around 1k? I'm thinking about buying a computer right now so the question will be quad core computer or sexifying the car.
Also, any problems with 20s?

Welcome! Yea $1K is pretty low for wheels... Don't wanna cut corners when it comes to hookin up your car (especially your wheels)... Forget about the computer... Obviously the one you're using right now is workin fine (cuz ur online)... hehehe... But yea if you want some nice wheels pm me, I can hook you up with my sponsor and get you a good deal on some sick wheels...

For my iphone i use it as the ipod, so i have the phone connected to the car, and if you look underneath on the edge of the center console theres a little ridge that allows for the wire to pass through, just set the iphone on top the cupholder and its perfect.
you can see when you get a text, and even start up dynolicious! (if you have it) lol.
oh and as mentioned earlier, BO FTW! i want to paint my grille black also, thats a fantastic idea.

Since you're looking to do your grille, springs, and clipers. Contact Lou at Amplified Motorsport or stop by the shop since you're in LA. the painter that he uses right next door does really sick work, espeacially with calipers. He's got a group special right now for the Black Chrome Grille. Lou can also help you out to try to find wheels & tires to fit you budget.

Valencia actually. It's a funny story: I had requested an online quote and the offer from Valencia was amazing (>$600 / month with 5k down, premium/nav). So I went there and the woman accidentally quoted me for a g35 sedan. After telling the manager how angry I was for wasting my time, he ended up cutting me a nice deal ($1000 below invoice) on my g37. W00t for incompetence
Congrats and welcome to the forums.
15% tint on So Cal might start attracting big brother's attention.
As for wheels, set a realistic budget before you start looking and don't stretch too far by looking at all the modded coupes here. The last thing you want to do is over spend.
