hmmmm once again, you dip at 6K which I hate. On the plus side, the area between the curves proves that you gain overall hp and definitely torque so it would increase 0-60 and 1/4 mile times by a few tenths of a second.

Overall, from the graphs, this is a fantastic mod for performance. As stated again and again, I am fed up that you lose your last 1000+ rpms for the fun factor of redlining (Im likely going to catch hell for saying that). Basically your last one thousand rpms before redline are completly useless.

^^^this is what happened as same as my car when i dynoed....... car lost hps up top...... it seems like you trade your top end hps for the Tqs.......however, I want to use my given 7k RPM and I hope headers would do the mid range job.......

the midrange job is actually taken care of well with the mrev. I just gotta see devons sheets to see if his other breather mods helped his top end out any.

^^I took my MREV+ off......put 1/2" spacer....so far the car pulls harder top end but low end it feels like shesh heh.....after headers installation, I'll dyno it to see if there is any difference compare to my previous one

oh yeah!...you're getting the headers installed... interesting to see what happens. Hopefully it shows some good gains.

i think this is better for the non rev up motors ..since our limiter is at 6600-6700 rpm anyways... i am really considering getting this.

Not the same effect. I mean it's the same lower plenum in our cars. It just has the front 2 ports machined down a tiny bit. This front port issue is already solved by the spacer. That's why i believe for non-rev-up engine, most of the work is done by the spacer. For Rev-up, the lower plenum is different between the two engine apparently. That's where the difference is. Again, i believe it's the lower plenum itself and spacer, not the machining.

Not going to give you hell about it but .... its not that useless, yes its lower than stock, but usually you wouldnt take it all the way to 7krpm anyway, more like 6.5-6.8k. And its still more power (just a bit) after 6k than when you upshift to next gear. Also seems like the 5.2-6k part would mostly make up for the loss in power above 6k range, seems to be about 2/3 of the volume lost vs gained.

This is what I have been waiting to see about the mrev2 on revup, looks great to me, will be getting it soon, cant wait.

If you look carefully, you will see that I don't start to lose power until @6300 rpm's.

until I see info/dyno to prove otherwise. I would like to see a dyno of stock 03-04 lower plenum with spacer vs MREV+ on an '05 6MT. I think the descrepancy won't be that big . I think I remember Tony posting you can simply just swap in the old plenum

so im still really confused. i have the original MREV that came out, then there was a MREV+, now a MREV2?

would i get better gains with a MREV2 over my MREV?

is it even worth getting the 2 over the original MREV?

I think MREV is merely the 03-04 lower plenum with spacer. MREV+ has the machining done to the front two port. MREV++ has additional machining. I might be wrong, but that's my impression. It might be cheaper for you since you can exchange your current 03-04 plenum for the machined plenum.

hm.... doesnt seem like its worth the ~$180 to upgrade from mrev+ to mrev2 (ie switch out lower plenum for machined plenum)... You gain basically a little more torque in the midrange but everything else is basically the same.

But yea i'm going to wait till a revup G with mrev+ upgrades and compares the dyno results.
