its all all the major tv stations now.. they said suspect abandoned the white truck

 

they got the pickup and are still looking.. this is nuts.. like the sniper a few years back...

 

Spoke with my friend at Westfileds Marriott. The suspect they are looking for is named Mike Kennedy and is wearing camoflouge fatigues. They have been working with police directly.

I work walking distance from that station, and it took me over an hour to get home with what is normally a 7 minute drive. Cops were everywhere. I pass that police station EVERY day when I go to work. This is crazy.

wow...i saw this on the news when i got home... fairfax hospital INOVA was going crazy...100 police officers there.

 

Yeah John and I work walking distance from that police station. I left about 3:20 yesterday, so I just made it out, but I still hit some traffic. Then this morning, there were like at least 10 cops patrolling the area (trucks, cars and bikes).

Two cops on bikes followed me as soon as I got off 28 and had me down my window to see inside (possibly cuz I pulled off from the light kinda hard) and then made a U-turn to go back onto 28. This area is crazy this morning. Rt 28 was backed up w/ patrol cars and air support.

 

^^the suspect was already left.........so what's the purpose to jam the traffic with those so many cops? ....

 

This morning's news reports say the shooter died at the scene yesterday. But if they're still searching the area maybe there was a 2nd shooter?

 

Well Fox 5 is not saying that there is a second shooter...so if Fox 5 says it, then it gotta be tru

Yeah they said that he carjacked a van after an unsuccessful attempt to carjack a pickup truck and drove to the station w/ a rifle and 2 9mm and opened fire killing on detective and wonding 2 others. One of them is ok and the other is in critical condition. The gunmen was hiding between 2 cars and then opened fire on the station. He was killed in that same area. He was only 18 yr old and was a graduate of Westfields HS.

So I guess I wont be speeding down 28 after work....guess I better down my window and keep it under 50 mph

 

actually reports this morning say one of the officers is dead...one is making recovery from surgery..and one is in critical condition.

 

Yeah there were 3 wounded/killed in the shootout. One was a female detective who died and the others were wounded w/ one of them in critical.

 

pisses me off...the guy who rear ended my car is denying the incident....i need to get in contact w/ my officer who came on the scene...now he's not answering, probably walking around 28 somewhere w/ an assault rifle looking for the ghost of christmas past . my officer was from the fair oaks district....w/ my luck he'll prob. be one of the one's who was shot yesterday b/c he decided to go to the sully district station (god forbid...)
