I love my V1.
Good luck.
Oh, and if you want to witness a religious war over this very subject check out Escort or V1 Poll

Beltronics RX65 for me. It works great. I don't think you can go wrong with the RX65, Escort 8500 or V1. The V1 guys swear by the directional indicators and it's the only detector of the 3 that has it. I didn't think it was worth the extra $100. I chose the Bel over the Escort because my buddy is a Bel dealer so I got a good deal.

NOOO!!!! ...lets not get this detector-war started again...

Any detector over $300 will work good...Escort, Bel, or V1...all great detectors.

I got my x50 mounted with mike's moutn and hardwire, I don't need the stealth look since i rarely go into VA. It works for me, and looks very oem. I'm happy with mine.

I got a Bel RX65 instead of the V1 for the pure fact that the V1 is too pricey for me. If I had the extra money, I would have gotten it. But I don't have any regrets getting the RX65, saved my butt 3 times now since I got it a few months back. It paid for itself already and I can't complain. Any of the x50, RX65, or V1 will give you great detection in my opinion.

My Passport 8500 is awesome and has paid for itself many times over. I also have a BEL in another vehicle which also works great. I cannot speak to the V1, as I have no XP with it. But it's a high-end detector, so like others have said - six in one hand, half a dozen in the other...

Brian,

You are such a n00b! Do a search ya lazy b@st@rd!!! Just kidding (no really...do a search). Had my 8500 (old school, not X50) for almost 3 years now. The only time I've been busted since was when I got paced by a State Trooper. You won't go wrong with the V1 or 8500, no experience with the Bel.
