Tires: gettin dragged under the table ....

I appreciate Jeff for offering the better price of anywhere around here for tires. Some of you know I curbed my front drivers side rim and cut my tire in two places. Im guessing I cant just get one tire due to tread wear.

IOC is saying with discount, the tires are 325 plus 25 bucks a piece for installation (mounting/balancing). Tirerack has them for the cheapest price but are out of stock until the 10th of june. No way I can ride on it that long.

Im pretty upset that IOC is charging me that much ($690) for the front two tires installed when Devon got his rears done for under $640. I dont know what is going on

Jeff is able to offer me ~320 a tire installed which is 50 bucks cheaper. Im greatful for the help. I just dont know what IOC is up to or what happened.

I tried tirerack, but they will not be getting any in until 6/10.

I will definitely be getting my rears from there.

When i last got front tires from IOC, I was expecting the hook-up too, to find out that they dont' give discount on tires. I believe they get all of their tires from an outside source, therefore there is little mark-up (according to ryan myers). He did mount and balance for free which wasn't bad. Have you tried discounttiredirect.com? That's usually where i get my tires since they seem to have the best road hazard program where they replace no question asked as long as you don't show sign of abuse. Other places and I belive tires prorate, but DTD send you a new tire.

conti,s are nice tires, but they have a softer sidewall(better ride) but dont handle quite as good as most other tires.excellent wet traction.

ahh ok. I might as well get as much sport out of this car as I can

I will just stick with OEM equipment unless there is ever a bargain for a sportier tire.

Call discount tire direct and see if they will work with you. I can typically get 15%+ off on most tires from them.

If you are selling the car why put clutch and all the other stuff in.This is a loss of money .You will not get money for mods.
