Final Call for H-Tech's

Final Call, LEK, you in? It's me and Devon's in this buy right now. If noone speak up, I'll try to put in the order today if I see my guy online. Again, $145 shipped for H and $135 for S, these are 350z. Going to push for $5-10 less if they ship to me.

oh man i might be interested. i'm just afraid of getting springs w/o getting struts at the same time and i dont want the expense of springs AND struts... hmmm... Especially if I go for the Stillen sways.

Are the Z H-Techs the ones a bunch of NGC guys got like a month ago? I think Puria and Pratik did??

Also how much do they drop the car? I go down some crazy streets around my office and don't want to bottom out or scrape =p

Yup I got em. I'll try and post some pics sometime. But those that have seen my drop along with my wheels its pretty hot. I thinkt he drop is just abotu perfect. I have some crappy streets too and i'm yet to bottom out. I only scrape a bit on my driveway but thats only because its like a freakin 90 degree incline!!

Tein H-tech 350z linear springs .3”/.2” drop on 350Z G35 drop will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 358/375
Stiffer then oem springs by F+14% R+11% (see note at very top)
Transfers +3% roll stiffness to front

FYI - To me the 350Z H-Tech's drop on my car seems to be around an inch.

Yeah I wanna get them, but after reading that thread, I am worried about them being too soft. According to the thread 05 coupes have 314F/427R. The Tein H techs do 358F/370 something Rear. Also it said that the 05 coupes w/ 19's are not factored in. I may have to wait or just only get the nismo sways. Also, I dont want more than an inch drop, according to pratik, under an inch is fine, but not over

ya the drop is around .8''/.7'' fr/rear. the ride is awesome (bit more stiff). overall i like the ride alot and dont bottom out either...but the car looks/handles alot more aggressive.

devon here are your specs compared to 350z h techs...

Oem springs G35 coupes 2005 only with oem 19’s only 350Z 2004.5/2005
Front:314 Rear:427

Tein H-tech 350z linear springs .3”/.2” drop on 350Z G35 drop will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 358/375
Transfers +3% roll stiffness to front

remember now since your using 350z springs you have to add .5'' to every drop...so then our drop is .8'' front and .7'' rear according to this. your front springs are softer than teh 350z h techs but your rear is a tad stiffer than the h techs. i dont think you will notice much difference in ride quality. as you can see the front 350z h tech is stiffer than the 05 OEM by ~50 lbs and the rear softer by 50 lbs. these are however linear springs which are ALOT different than the PROGRESSIVE springs that jesus bought ( g h techs). There is a BIIIG difference in G h techs and Z h techs....just FYI. for one G h techs are SOFTER than stock and they are PROGRESSIVE (hence why Jesus complained when he'd brake hard the a$$ of the car would go up b/c progressive springs transfer weight etc etc)...This is the exact reason everyone gets the Z h techs...and nobody gets G h techs!!

i was able to get juust baaarely back into spec as well w/ my alignment. overall a good mod IMHO...

No problem Devon, I'll just spend you money on somehting else. Asians don't do refund..haha. I didn't know the '05 were that stiff in the rear. I guess it will be slightly softer, which is great for those that wants to make their '05 softer. I will probably hold off order until atleast tomorrow. I have to wait to see my dude online first.

hey i think i may hold off on the springs since i'm reading a lot in the suspension forum about how much better it is to run them with Tokico D-Spec shocks, but I'm not about to drop ~$600 for those right now.

I'm already planning to get the Stillen swaybars...

No biggie, I think the whole D-spec thing is all very hyped up. I agree it will shorten your shock's life-span, but you can easily by oem shocks or 350z shocks cheap, since people are jumping on the d-spec bandwagon like crazy .I mean if you drive your car like it's grand tourismo, than maybe your shocks will go much quicker, I think under normal driving and the occasional lead-foot syndrome, I think you'll be alright until you save up for some d-spec down the road. That's the way I look at it. just my 2 cents
