Hyundai is korean, not Chinese. And the Hyundai's over in Korea are much different than the ones here. They are huge and fancy like MB and BMW's.

Even still, Hyundai in the states has only recently began to be a reputable company. Back in the 90's you could'nt have paid me to get one. Now, if I needed a second econo car, I would at least consider one.

hyundai cars in US are not the top of the line cars in korea. (you can laugh all you want. w/e)
there are better cars in korea, which go up to around 90,000+
it sounds crazy but they make nice cars.
only problem w/ korean cars is that the price isnt right.
think about it. if you have money to buy 90,000dollar car, would you get hyundai over mercedes, bmw, etc?

the price for the sonata is actually just about right, especially for what they are going up against. You get a decent powered engine for the family sedan. The user rating seems to be good for it also. as Dehj said, I would at least consider one if I were in the market.

Now, if they hook that lil tiburon of theirs up with some quality parts, they might have an even stronger fight!
