BMW's are NOT underrated. The put out just what they say. Its the fact that when using an inline 6, you are getting more power to the wheels due to less or no vibration loss.

ya even w/ his Mrev, cats, exhaust devon still has a rough time getting in the 13s. he can add just about any/every bolt on and i doubt he'd ever get to a 13.5. M3 can run that all day long stock w/ no mods...

my bro put 300k miles on an old 735 and almost 200k miles on a 535... I think the older BMW's were solid. That said, unless you have a service hookup, they're expensive to maintain.

Don't bimmers come with a 3 or 5 year bumper-bumper warranty which includes everything?

It's 4 years. I think it's always the electronics. My buddy's e90's navi just went blank and they had to replace the whole stereo unit. It's funny because bmw got all these bells and whistle gadget that are neat but at the same time, you rate of somehting going wrong has sky rocketted. The warrantee is very nice and does include all services, you can extend it for like $1,500 i think when the 65 or 90K mile service along exceed that.

I kept up with only Mrev. Now with CAI and Exhaust, I probably pull on a M3.

dude...the car weighs less than ours by like a few hundred pounds or something...I dont think the guy knew how to drive his M, or he's probably just babying it...

mrev/cai might put us in the same rwhp range but we're still heavier...

I don't think folks should put too much stock on the results of a street run here and there. There are so many variables, i.e., whether the other driver really was racing at all or just keeping up, whether the other driver even knows how to drive, whether the other driver started in the wrong gear, whether one car was fully weighed down vs. the other, etc. Bah... its still fun though, so back to the main subject - Clok vs. Klok... and Virge vs. Arjunz...
