It is a good deal , but I think you could go lower, They NEVER buy a car used and give you much higher then a good rating, Nobody gets Excellent on a trade. If you want ask to see the title to see what the price is that they bopught it at. The bad thing about used cars is it's very hard to know where to work up from. New you start at invoice and can go up, used you start at some imaginary number and guess from there.I wouyld say 29,500 and see. You are shopping mid month so they are a lilttle more reluctant to give cars away then say in a week or so.

im pretty sure they wont take 22500 that was our offer and he went to see his manager and came back and said no. my dad is also trying to go look at this today http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...0740&aff=wpost
well see, most likey id like to convince them to get the TSX cause its a 2005 and its reliable and cheaper to maintain. i guess we can go back there and offer 22800 and see what happens, if they still wont budge, just offer 23000, which im pretty sure they will do.

thanks for your help everyone. Acura kept playing hardball, so we got a different car. A much better deal actually. 2004 bmw 325i, manual with 14,088 miles for $21250. all the service and warranty are transferable.

I researched the reliability issues and found bmw to be above industrial average, much better than its other german counterparts. Considering that the open market price for it is thousands beyond what my parents are paying for it. I figure its worth taking the risk, so we will see how reliable this car is. As of now its in perfect condition.

The seller is a Phd. marine biologist working for the feds, he has like no idea how to sell cars. and didnt even know hes car is a 2004 and thought it was a 2003 because he bought it in december 2003 It was pretty easy for me to make a killing bargaining down his asking price.

its definetly a driver's car, handles great, much better than the tsx. My car has better grip and stiffer suspension for less bodyroll. But the bmw has quicker steering response and steering feedback. I think thats due to our car being drive-by-wire.
