In the interim, I can be the token Corolla guy. But yeah, I'll still make happy hours, but probably not any drives unless I get a 20 min head start .

Oh yeah, the po-po. What a joke! It took them forever to respond because it was a non-emergency. And when they did arrive, they flashed their flashlights, asked a couple of questions, did a poor attempt to find fingerprints, and then basically said tough luck.

The toughest part about this is that I did the whole installation my self, only to see it ripped apart.

Sorry to hear that Jess, same thing happen to me twice right in front of my house. They caught me off guard, and now I sleep with the window cracked. Then the insurance co. try to d!ck you on the custom work, hopefully you had it covered. A lot of people dont know that they need xtra coverage for systems/custom work. She won't be the same!

Po-po dont do anything but write a report and tell you to call your insurance co.

Same here i spent all this money to buy the equipment 2 amps crossovers speakers sub headunit cd changer. They could replace all of it for half price.I was pissed.I kept the insurance money and never put the radio back in.2 years i drove without tunes. That is one of the reasons i have not upgraded my g sound system yet.

Jess I'm really sorry to hear this man. Just too many haters out there that dont appreciate what they dont have.

I really hope you think about staying in the Z, G family. You've been with us since Day 1 and have seen this club evolve into what it is today. I know we all hope you stick around, no matter what car you're in you're definitely always welcome.

I didn't notify my insurance company of the system, but I sent in my receipts and we'll see what and if its covered. I'll be happy if they give me enough to cover my deductible.

I can relate to this feeling from when they riped my Acura apart in DC.
I am really sorry this happened to you bro, but think about all the effort and thought you have put in to this car to make it unique and to make it your own, dont let a $hit like this make you get rid of your baby. just make sure your next set up (if there is one) is nice and hidden..
anyways, watever your decision is we are still expecting you to hang on thursdays (and drives if you can keep up )

Well there is a possible lawsuit out of this. Having a secured parking garage, insinuates security. The garage did not sevure your vehicle.

Not meaning to diminish your loss in any way, but only to respond to Dev's msg - you can certainly make a tortious claim of negligence, but I think you'd have a hard time persuading a judge or jury that your community association had a duty to post a security guard at that location at that hour. Were there any other reasonable security features that failed? This is not a bailment situation where you completely entrusted your car's security to them by handing the keys over to them.

Well if that is the only place that is offered, what choice do you have? At my apartment complex we do not state anywhere that we provide any reference of security, it's a CYA thing. If they offer secure garages, then they should be secure. It would be a battle, but who knows?
I'm bored so I'm just hypothisysing(sp)

There's only 2 choices, pay for the garage, or park in the metered streets. There have been several break-ins in the past, which led to a "security guard" roaming around on foot. I haven't seen one lately, maybe because it's winter time. I'm going to research those past incidents to see if anyone filed claims on the apartment management company. But most likely, when I signed for a parking permit, somewhere in the fineprint it'll say that they are not responsible for theft or damage to any vehicle in the garage.
