Dunlop M3's Winter Tires

If anyone's buying winter tires I read some great reviews about them.

Are winter tires really worth it? Do we get enough snow/bad weather to need winter-only tires? Or is it cheaper to get an all-season tire for the winter since we dont see that muich snow here.

yeah...it's obvious that it's gonna be better than having summer tires like what i have...RE50z(?) bridgestone.
last year i had those tires on my maxima and it was ok in terms of grip.
only difference would be FF vs FR...i will see how it goes o_O;;;

O yea.. i know it's gonna help over a pure summer tire.. but i was thinking of getting allseason b/c the tread wear is longer. i heard those winter tires go pretty fast.

All season tires don't come in 19" sizes so for those with '05 with the 19" rims, we have no choice if we want to drive our cars during winter. It's either snow tires or no go.

If this is your only vehicle, I'd suggest winter tires. Otherwise all season would be more useful.

I bought them a week ago and installed them this past weekend. I was able to drive with them Saturday night with some wintry mix. It handled great, no slippage. The treads on those tires are deep and look like they should be able to handle great in the snow. I went with the stock 18 setup with ASA JH3 wheels.

I just got my Dunlops M3 tires installed today. I went from 19" summer tires to 18" winter tires and the ride so much softer now. It's like riding on a cloud compared to 19"s.
