my xbox 360 experience

I havent even taken it out of the package yet, but check this out. Everywhere pretty much lets you camp out. I was down in raleigh nc when it was releases. Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc.. let you camp out outside their stores but the hidden weapon was Costco that a lot of people slept on. They had 24 units (which was quite a large quantity compared to other stores) My friend and I went there at 10:30 at night (opens at 10 am) only to get confronted by a security guard that was a smart@ss from the jump. he would not let us camp out in front of the store, nor would he let us stay in the parking lot. We found out what his shift was and came back at 3:30 in the morning and there was just one other guy there waiting. He never came back, and im glad cus it could have gotten ugly. I was afraid he might shoot me with his mag flashlight heh. We end up being number 2 and 3 in line of which there happened to only be 18 by the time they opened (hmm should I say employees bought some up?? dont blame them)

Some were turned away but they came almost when it opened. They should have known better.

One thing that sucked about other locations is that out of all the xbox's other stores got, they only got a few premium xboxs. Costco had all premiums in their bundle deal. Bundle included the Xbox premuim (hard drive, headset, wireless controller) extra wireless controller, play while you play charger for the controllers, media remote control, and the game kameo (will be traded in)

I will let you guys know what the xbox is like as soon as I Get home if you care lol. Just wanted to share my camping experience.

How much sleep have you lost? Is the gaming quality at the level it should be?

I actually camped out at Toys R Us and initially they told us they only had 8 so we turned down anyone after number 8. When they opened they said they actually had 10 so I grabbed the other 2 and ended up wtih 3 . Ebay has just payed off a good chunk of my car now lol

ps3 will dominate the market for sure.
they always did since PS1.
only thing that concerns me about xbox is the heating issue.
otherwise i would've gotten one.

It's pretty good graphically. You have to expect a lot of problems with next-gen games at the get-go. I'll give it about 6 months for developers to actually get the hang of it and put a lot more effort. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

Anyone want to buy one? $800, premium pack in hand.

i was just watching news on nbc4 and they had some XBOX360 owners complaining about the system crashing when they are playing games. Seems to be several complaints about that.

it crashes due to heating issue, seems like it needs to be in the open, if the ventilation is blocked it is prone to overheat and crash. it seems to be a design flaw, not really a hardware problem

I stood in line for 6 hours on Monday night for mine. First in line too.

The graphics are pretty cool. Playing Need for speed most wanted and Perfect Dark Zero.

My buddy is complaining about a "burn-in" smell coming from his. Mine doesn't seem to be overheating but the thing is noisy as hell when it is stood up spinning the disc.
