Anyone have pics of this plenum and spacer installed? I'm curious to see what it looks like installed and how difficult it is.

devon has it installed, supposedly its very easy. should take no more than 45 min. and much faster for someone whose done it before. someone already posted the picture of the packadge in the official thread for the mod under the engine/drive train modifications section on this site.

After scanning through dozens of pages yapping over this MREV product, I was able to find a pic although it seem like this Tony guy who came up with this plemum/spacer is a real ****.

Tony is nothing but a true gentleman. He has more than his share of pleased customers, whom stand by his products.

what i want to know is... why does he intend to sell the plenium + spacer as a combo and make MORE MONEY off us instead of just designing the plenium to be *deeper essentially turning the MREV into 1 piece?.... ohh wait, i think i just answered my own question j/k im guessing theres probably issues with making it fit right and how the pieces are placed together? or is there? just wondering, hope someone can explain it to me

Well, my guess is that Tony was just experimenting with what he had on hand . . . And actually came up with a damn good combo, wouldn't you say? Knowing what he had discovered . . . If he had spend the additional time and monies to make a "one piece," as you say . . . I have to believe it would have been a longer wait and quite a bit more money to us.

I think MREV will eventually give birth to bigger and better things for all model year G's. As with the rest of Motordyne's great products, MREV is the best of the pack right now . . . But that is simply my opinion.

I didn't know Motordyne from a rat's A$$, until MREV. Tony has made me a Motordyne believer.

Hey how's your gas mileage after the MREV. I think Devon said he was getting less miles/gallon after his MREV.

The MREV is a combination of his spacer + the 03/04 lower collector. The collector may or may not be bored. The point here is that the lower collector is an OEM lower collector.

Nothing against Tony, but there is absolutely *NO WAY* that he could manufacture a lower collector to the quality of OEM specs and make it available to us for the same price as an OEM nissan part. It's just a matter of economies of scale. Nissan, or some subcontractor, fabricates hundreds of thousands of those lower collectors a year.

How many people have the revup version of the motor? Of those, how many participate in boards like this or my350z? Of those, how many will actually mod their car? A fraction of a fraction of a fraction. The fact is, the MREV itself has but a small piece of the overall intake mod market for the g/z. It's a very vertical market, you could say.

It's hard to gauge MPG gain/lost with breather mod. I think in theory making the car breath easier should help under light driving condition. But no sane person spend money to mod their car just to granny shift. So in the end, your mind tells you that the car is faster, so you push it more. So now that the car is making more power, it'll eat more gas the more power you want it to make. It's just a slippery slope effect, it takes feul to make power. my two cents

My mpg has definitely improved. In my daily mixed driving, I now get some 18 to 19 mpg while shifting at 4k rpm and up. Prior to MREV, I was getting only 15 to 16 mpg shifting the same. Now, I rarely have my G in 6th on the freeways . . . It's split 70/30 in 5th and 4th gears, now. My daily freeway/city mix is at 50/50.

I appologize if I come across that way sometimes. I try to stay diplomatic but sometimes its hard not to reply to the trolls.

I'll keep trying.

Tony has been great. Always forthright, upfront, and honest. I just installed my MRev tonight. It really does change the attitude of the car. Now, my car is SO MUCH MORE FUN to drive. The usual stop light grandprix is alot more exciting. No more waiting to get into the powerband. It pulls hard awya from the light, and when you hit about 4K rpms, LOOK OUT!!!!

Also, as soon as I engage each successive gear, the added torque is felt right away.

If Infinit had these cars set up this way during test drives, they'd probably sell alot more G35s. The added torque is IMPRESSIVE....and this is coming from a torque-loving, nitrous junky!!!!
