If the guy who is complaining goes to court then you'd have a problem. A guy can't just call the cops, disappear, and then expect you to get a ticket. If the cop didn't see it he needs a witness to say they saw it. No witness, no case.

Same thing happened to me. Went around some guy before turning into my office parking lot. I'm getting out of the car and a cop pulls up behind me. Tells me some guy complained that I was tailgating and driving recklessly. I asked him, where's your witness? He said he took off. I just smiled. Cops can't do anything without a witness if they didn't see you do it. Why do you think drug dealers are always killing witnesses to get off.

haha i wish this situation were that easy. the guy told the cop that he would take a day off of work and go to court over it. i mean like i said the guy was probably friends with the cop so thats why he called him or something like that.

I guess since the guy is part of the homeonwers association he feels he has some sort of power that he really doesnt...I hate egotistical power hungry people like that.
in my case there was no one willing to come to the police station to make a formal complaint.

what happened with me was i brandished a weapon and threatened to use it and almost did. a witness who was in the car behind me called the incident in. the policeman actually called back to get the guy to come in to file a complaint but he wouldn't. they came to my house and i wasn't home. i received a frantic call from my family and i proceeded to go home. it was stressful because it's basicallly a misdemeanor. and i can get up to 1 year in jail and 2000 fine. this was about 2 years ago. i went and turned myself in but there were no charges filed so i was free to go home.

Well in your case you're not really looking at anything too serious. I dont think they can suspend your license over this you may have to pay fines. But thats about it. It's really a waste of time for everyone involved to take their time and bring their butts to court.

thats my opinion on this that its just a complete waste of time. I mean thats fine if i was like a drunk driver or road rager running people off the road and putting other peoples life in danger and s***. but def not because i went around you becuase of your own driving stupidity
