Espresso, I will pick a field, probably around tysons as its the 'middle ground' between MD/VA folks?? Its right off of 495 and not tooo far for the rockville/bethesda ppl?? I know of at least a few fields there we can use. There is Spring Hill Rec center fields, and also Lewinsville park fields...
I think we should shoot for 6v6 maybe 7v7?? anymore than that and the game gets pretty ridiculous!!
Some rules for now: (open to suggestions)
4 down plays obviously. 2 completions=1st down (at least 5 yards total for both completions to avoid negative yard 1st downs). With 6 players we should have 2 O linemen. (5 mississippi or 5 1000 counts before blitzing). Defense gets 2 blitzes every 4 downs.

First there was dodge ball ,then there was go karting ,then basketball, now football. Are we going to do anything but happy hours lol.I want go karts ....go karts go karts go karts.
There was an annual Turkey Bowl football event I was in a few years ago and here was the setup.
The field was divided into 4 sections with 2 endzones (40 yds playing field). In order to get a 1st down, you had to go from 1 section to the other or roughly 10 yards.
On offense, there were 2 required LM, 1 QB. The other 3 can be WR or 2 TE or RB. You can rush once the ball is hiked, full contact blocking but the rushers have to be at least 1 full yard from the line of scrimmage.
Kick offs have to be kicked or punted. Same with punts during 4th downs. None of that throwing the ball crap. During a punt though, the ball has to be hiked or snapped to the punter while everyone stands still until the ball is kicked. You're allowed 2 punt returners.
Extra points is determined by distance. 2.5 yards out equals 1 point. 5 yards out equals 2 points.
We can have 6 vs 6 with subs during plays. Gives some of us rest or water on the sidelines. If no one has flags, I'll see if I can make some if everyone doesn't mind chipping in a few bucks.
