NGC: Who's trying to go to the beach?!

Tik and I were talking the other day about planning an NGC trip to OC, MD for the weekend of Sep 24th...

Let me know what the level of interest is, and we'll go from there......

Note: some of the hotels won't allow rooms to be booked for fewer than 2 nights...

I would love to, but there is no way I could pull that off without taking the wife. And we all know... *Ya don't take sand to the beach!

Bump for some more votes. I think we may have to book the hotel room pretty soon. How many rooms you think we need? 2-3?

here's are some suggestions for hotels:
http://www.ococean.com/hotelm.html

I did a search and it showed two resorts: the cayman suites and comfort suites for 1 night the 24th-25th averaging $300+ per night.

Well I picked this weekend and discussing with some others it seemed like a good option. This weekend i'd think the hotel rates would be even higher for a holiday weekend. Plus, thought others would have plans already made since its just in one week and its a long weekend. Maybe I was mistaken though? I'd still like to shoot for this date but may need some help finding some hotel rooms. I'll try and look on orbitz and priceline real fast.

One of the nicer hotels at OC near the boardwalk is the Holiday Inn around 20th street. It has an indoor pool and outdoor pool with play area. Most of the rooms are suites so if you need to share a room, you can squeeze at least 6-8 people there. Prices last summer around this time was about $300. I think you guys are better off going a week after labor day if you want decent parking and less crowds as kids start up school again.
