So I Smoke CRACK!! And Got Smoked by 911 Carrera

Not that I even thought I had a chance to begin with but didn't think those lil boogers were so fast. I was on 50 West at 8:15 PM and heading home when I see the Xeon lights flying up behind me. The guy is weaving in and out of cars until he gets behind me at the red light of Stonecroft and 50. This lil 01-04 Eclipse is thinking that I want to race but the only thing on my mind was "how fast is this 911 again?" LOL

Light turns and he is on my A$$. I know he's toying with me b/c I leave the mitsu in my rear view but he doesn't go around. I hit about 90-95 and he takes the next lane. NOw back to my question of "how fast.." was answered very quickly. At 100 he is PULLING AWAY!!! I let off the gas about 110 due to fear of the crossing deer or skunk but he just keeps disappearing.

We pull up to the entrance to South Riding and he is going in too. I look over and give him the "DAMN THATS A PHAT RYDE, Nod". Didn't really bother me but I had a few questions.

HOw is he pulling away so easily at 100? Are Carrera's Turboed up? If not, how fast are the 911 Turbos? Would FI/Supercharger helped? Granted it's an 03/Auto/Sedan, but DAYAM... HOw faast are those things?

Porsches aren't really that fast. It kicked your A$$ because the driver was in a hurry to get home to see his wife, whom was pregnant with twins.

tried racing 911 turbo....
i know i just made myself look like an idiot....
but we started from a roll since we were both making a left turn(he was turning left behind me).
by the time i was done with 2nd gear he was at least 5-6 cars ahead. by the time i hit 80, he was long gone...
don't waste gas trying to race them...=T

Carrera's have 320hp. Body is probably lighter than the G. So it's going to walk on us. Turbos are insanely fast. 420hp I think.

Yea still nothing. I am assuming that you were trying to be funny and say that the "Driver" was the 911? And he was going to see my wife? If that's the case, you really need to learn english before you try to crack jokes. And while I don't "Get" what you were trying to say, I do get your comment makes no sense. So why don't you clear things up for us Einstein?

GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE, no way you could hang with a 911 turbo....those things can keep up with and beat some bikes on the street. And handling is supposed to be legendary up in the twisties

Porsche is my dream car .. i almost got a Carrera S 2001 ... used instead of my G ... but my father insisted on a new car ... anyways .. the carrera are faster than us ... more HP and Lighter .. while the 911 Turbo ... hmmm ... Turbo's ..are tooooooooooooooo fast for the G ... we'd be lucky if we even catch a sight of them.

He said he hung with a 911 NON-Turbo, not a turbo through 2 and 3.
