London bombing hits close to home...

http://edition.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2005...g/victims.html

My gf's uncle was one of the victims of the london bombings. I recently met him at last years Thanksgiving in Boston, MA. I guess it doesn't effect you until it hits someone you know...

RIP - Michael Matsu****a

Sorry to hear man. Thats tough to swallow. My aunt was actually in the trains when all that happened but she was on the other side of the tube and luckily nothing happened.

I was actually born right around where one of the bombings happened and know the area so it hits close to home. Sorry to hear that again.

Sorry to hear about your loss. A friend of mine lost her husband on 9/11 he was one of the people in the Pentagon when the building was hit. It is pretty freaky when it hits close to home.

My Sister-in-Law's brother was a Port Authority Cop that was killed in the wtc on 9/11. His cousin had been a Medic in the military and was working as a Court Bailiff at the Courthouse in downtown Manhattan. He went to the twin towers to help - he was also killed.

Thanks everyone for the support. She's just been crying a lot but maybe that will help her cope with it better and of course time. I didn't know him that well but still he was someone I knew and even then it hurt like hell. When Sept 11 happened I was out of it for a couple of days maybe week because I couldn't fathom why would there be a good reason for such senseless acts of violence. Greg and Saltidawg sorry to hear about your loss as well. Plus they're talking about how another attack on U.S. soil is coming soon. We'll all just have to be careful and keep an eye out for suspicious activities.
