Puria ... Having the VDC off .. doesnt give u a performance boost ... why would u have it off? .. unless obviously you are brake torquing and racing some one of the line. JDM was talking about keeping up on the high way... im sure having ur VDC off will not give u any kind of advantage ... infact VDC should be on to be safe.

^^ oooh damn.... [INSERT "OOOOOH FACE" HERE] i can smell the hostility in the air

Back on point, having driven auto's all my life as my main car then driving stick on a civic and g35. I've gotta say auto will never be mt. But I totally understand the at guys, i love auto's myself especially in traffic...

In the end.....

It's that simple, go to 6th gear... or go home... LOL HAHAHAHAH OOOOOH FACE!!!!

^^ Gotta agree. VDC off for drag races.... VDC on for crazy *** driving styles where you'll do anything to win even if you have to jump the car off a cliff. LOL

It has nothing to do with your AT. You are just not used to driving with a group. Mine is AT and totally bone stock and I still kept up with the gang. Don't be so hash on your AT.

I am always hot or warm so i have a problem having my AC on (house/car/work) so make sure to turn it off. But MT's will stil have the advantage but i think its all about driving the $hit out of the car. as others have mentioned its mostly about driving crazy and i know i take alot of risks as I know greg, byrnie, and john do as well (seen them drive so i can speak on there behalf). But I think they are both good drivers and are willing to push the G to its limits.
^wanted to be cool too heh sorry I'm bored.

ya true it might not really matter to have VDC off/on in highway driving and i normally keep mine on when im in the twisties (only one crazy enough to have it OFF is greg). However its general knowledge (and i was referring to racing from the line) when 'drag racing' to have VDC off as it detects slip and applies ABS to slow your role!! i never stated the VDC off was a nitrous arming button (performance boost)????

but regardless if you REALLY know how to drive (arjun) a rear wheel drive car and are driving in dry road conditions, you wont ever need VDC because you know what to expect from a rear wheel drive car. all the cars I have had since I was 16 were all rear wheel and most never had VDC or traction control or anything like that. And if you actually want to REALLY look into it VDC can even slow you down in a race where your almost drifting in the turns...well you cant really drift w/ VDC on but u know what i mean.....

i know of its safety in rainy/snowy and it has saved my a$$ in a few snowy incidents this past year.

I got arjun/lek arguing w/ me!!! guys first learn to install a Z tube/intake then come argue with me about cars!!

no...you said that when drifting into turns the vdc will slow you down. I am pointing out that it's faster to not drift into the turns.

Puria ... i think you got me wrong ... and i'm not questioning ur knowledge about cars ... well unlike you very EXPERIENCED drivers .. .JDM and I are 17 years old .. and me having experienced due to my INEXPERIENCE on the blue ridge mountain drive when i almost spun out on one turn .. and the VDC kicked in and saved my @$$ ... i just wanted to tell JDM to be better safe than sorry... and he thought that VDC would give him a performance boost .. i was just clearing that for him. Not arguing with you. and Yeah i'll learn how to install my first Ztube/INTAKE lol ... let it come in first
