I would suggest pope's head road. But I'm thinking there will be a little bit much of traffic. What kinda drive you guys looking for? A nice cruise. Twisties. 120+MPH on highway (which i would be out, no more tickets til Spring 2006) I get home by 5:30 usually.

You see the pic of the DB Track Z that ran off Popes Head on my350's Mid.Atl. directory thread? Someone on that thread recommended Georgia Ave north of 495 as a good drive - can anyone here vouch for it?

Sorry but if someone runs off the road is because they can't drive or don't know the limits of their own car. And there's a lot of people who can't drive. A lot of people "race" on the highways and roads and think that they "can drive." But when it comes to cornering it's a whole different ball game. Thats why we always see kids wrecking their expensive cars.

See halfway down this thread. I don't know whether he was driving well or not, but he purportedly swerved to avoid a deer. I agree in general though that twisties are much more gratifying than speed on a highway. I have a map of the Clifton area drive that may not be identical to the Z drive, but that was popularized by the MINI club.

Oh you mean the last leg of the drive on the road with the S Curve? It's off of Ox Road somewhere. If we drive there we'd have to do it at night. So there isn't much traffic.

i think i found it...

from george mason university...take ox road south. after you pass burke lake park take a RIGHT on henderson road (route 643) stay on route 643 until you see hampton road (route 647). take a LEFT onto hampton road and stay on hampton road until you come back out on Ox road again!!
