Dealers
Dealers
There was a post on the main forum about a dealer in MD. Someone thought it might be good to have this in our forum as well. Tell about your expirenece with dealers and prices and services you've received.
My personal expirence was with JBA Infiniti. after talking with many dealers around I found that they were the most polite people, and they were very easy to deal with. I told them about Grubbs deals and asked if they would honor these deals. They would not do the invoice deals, but they did take my offer of $700 over the factory invoice. I placed my order last November and received my car in February of this year. Overall I had an excellent time with this dealer and received several freebies from them. 2 Tanks of gas, offers for free washes(car was dirty) free wheel locks, and of course the first oil change. I have since spoken with the dealership about offering these prices to others from the internet and they said they would. The gentlemen to speak to are Rex who is the General Manager or Greg Hayes who is the Sales Manager. Let them know you are from the internet and that I refered you. Don't want to post my name here, but if you PM me I will be more than happy to help you out.

Thats a pretty sweet deal. I didnt have the best of experiences at Jim Coleman Infiniti in Bethesda. The reason I went there was it was the closest to me and I had VPP. Even without negotiating the price they still gave me a hard time and it turns out that I eventually had to get the car delivered to Jim Coleman from JBA. If only I had gone there to begin with.
Either way service at Jim Coleman isn't that bad. Like I said in another thread, Jim Coleman sells the most Infinitis in the area so I'm assuming they're doing something right but the area does cater to the wealthy. Not sure. Hopefully I never get into an accident and have to deal with JC. So far they seem to be able to handle regular oil changes and even give me free rentals then.

I went to Jim COleman for the same reasons as you but I would have to completely disagree with you on Jim Coleman. I purchased my car from them, which wasnt even the color I wanted in the first place, and that very same night they scraped my driver side rear wheel on the curb after they had just finished cleaning it. They said they would do something about it but they never did. They always gave me the runaround. The next time I went back for my first oil change since it was free and they washed it even though I told them not to and put a crap load of swirls and scratches into the paint. It looked like they had washed it with a plastic towel or something. Again they refused to do anything about it and just gave me the runaround again. Trying to talk to their managers is like trying to find Waldo. I witnessed this firsthand before anything ever happened to me - a customer wanted to talk to the manager becuase the service on hiscar was not done right so he asked to speak to the manager and the secretary goes to the mangers office and tells him the customer wants to speak with him. The only thing the manager does is look out his window to see what the customer looks like and then he just gets up and shuts his door. He wasnt even doing anything; not on the phone, not on the computer, just sitting there doing nothing. Then theres the dreaded survey. Coleman sees the survey as a deliberate attack on them. They take it so seriously. I have had nothing but problems with Coleman since day 1. That is why I go to Passport. I have had maybe one minor scrap with a service manager and he has been doing everything in his power to correct it so yea i pretty much have nothing but good things to say about Passport. Mentioning Coleman in my house is like sacriligious or something. - END RANT
Man sorry to hear that. I've been to Jim Coleman 3-4 times just for my regular oil changes and thats it. Because of your response I will definitely look over my car more carefully. Do you remember who your service manager was? I had Fitz but I think he has since left (go figure) and now I have someone else - can't remember his name.

Beware of Rosenthal service...went for my first oil change and they stole $2 in quarters and a pack of gum AND gave my wheels curb rash....yes guys...pretty sad?? I havent been back since even though I have 3 years of free oil changes...do it myself to prevent my new wheels from getting scratched up. Anytime you guys go for service, make sure you know what you have in your car and its condition. ESP. check out your wheels for scuffs/scrapes that werent there when you dropped it off....

Yeah Rosenthal also scratched my car. Driver's side near the bottom of the door. It's like one long continuos scratch. I almost beat the Service guy up on the spot cause I was so fumed. He had them buff it but when I washed it recently I noticed it again. They have overall good intentions (service dept), well atleast some of the service guys. I mean they cater to the wealthy in that area so thats basically what you get. I think the people who work on our cars actually try to do some stupid **** to it. For instance I got my headunit replaced and they scratched the cover to it. Stupid people. I get so annoyed at them. Now I'm afraid to take my car in ever. But I still take it in for oil change and crap. They fixed a lot of the rattles but new ones pop up. Overall the experience with rosenthal is not so good. They basically treat your car like trash imo. I actually have a friend that works at Passport, he's a salesperson there. I would change my own oil...but the parking lot is in a slant.
So I'm basically stuck. And I got 3 years left of free oil changes. Its so frustrating. Next time they do a survey I'm gonna trash them. You know...I'm gonna make a complaint through Infiniti of America.
Ya I think all 3 of us should file complaints against Rosenthal, that way if they see 3 people complaining about the same thing they may approach us and confront the dealer...just not right IMO. I wish I could get reimbursed for the cost of the 3 years of free oil changes
I know fairfax county's website had a consumer complaints section where you can file a complaint and when people see complaints it adversely affects that vendor and can cause them to have less business...

Infiniti Financial Services take the complaint seriously. They call and will follow up with you. The dealers are afraid of Infiniti of America. So if we all complain it will work. So when do we want to do this?
I got my '03 3 weeks after they came out in November and I got it for MSRP. And I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER...did I say NEVER?...purchase a car from Nationwide Infiniti in Timonium. Long story but if you do a search you'll see my many posts as to why both their service and sales blow.
600 over invoice @ passport infiniti
i tried JBA infiniti after contacting wnt1bd and asked me 750 over invoice with 25~30 miles on. i asked him for another one with lower miles then he decided not to make a deal with me so i went to passport and got mine on 4/15
lower price + lower miles = i am happy

really I went to passport after working all 3 infiniti dealerships in my area for the lowest possible price (actually I had my mom do it while i was working she did an amazing job), we worked passport, Jim coleman, and rosenthal. And after hearing the complaints at rosenthal from you guys I'm gonna stick with Passport. Let's see the Salesperson who has taken great care of me so far was Michael Stuart, real nice guy and very honest. Anything I've asked for he's taken care of or answered/found an answer to.
