I was reading a thread on here about it, and its tempting, mine are roaring like crazy... I was curious if anyone had tried it before to combat the feather and how well/horribly it handled. Also, how long to get rid of he feather patches?!?!

That can't be safe, especially in rain. Instead of channeling water away from the center, you'd be channeling water towards it.

Thats what I am wandering. I have read a couple articles online that say that its really not noticable b/c tires lose a lot of their water channeling ability very quickly, etc etc. I dont think its something I would want to do, but if I could log 1000 dry weather miles and get rid of that roaring for another 4-5k, it would be damn nice!
