Sentra is 4 door and front wheel drive only. Even as a coupe it was FWD. The 240sx aka Silvia was always RWD. And since they're test muling a chopped Z chasis. A smaller chasis, I would think, would have a smaller/lighter engine. Something like a 170-200+hp 4 banger..... that's what lead me to think/hypothesize the return of the Silvia/SX car in the US.

But again... that's just my best guess, and I could be completely wrong on it.

I can't seem to pass judgment yet. I'll wait until it's out. I saw the new Nismo kitted Z during the NYIAS. It was nice, but I'm still not used to the new hood on the Z. All other curves and Nismo goodness was HOT.

As for a possible Silvia comeback in the states. I think the Z/G platform is too expensive and heavy for such a car. A much smaller and lighter chassis and engine platform is needed to compete against the new Civic Si, Scion TC, and the rest of the bunch. If Nissan can come up with a economical RWD funcar e.g. Toyota AE86 targeted to the youth/tuner market, we got a winner.
